    Do you seriously think we would get more than £500k for a bombscare that can't even get a game in the SPFL?? Why would anyone pay money for him he is murder and giving him a rest as some say won't improve his lack of heading ability, positional sense, passing ability and general defending.If he was any good we would not have Lustig or Mulgrew as potential replacement CB's as we had on Sunday. The guy is murder and I would be pleased to just get him off the payroll.

    He is a Nigerian internationalist so saying we couldn't get 500k on him is ridiculous there is market value on him I am not saying he is worth loads but he is certainly someone we can gather a mill for at least .

    If you look at his performances and not the fact he is an international (they must be crap for him to get a game) he is worth about £500k if you are lucky I would be delighted to get anything and just get him out the door.

    Please get yourself a job scouting for a team and give us £1 million for that waste of a shirt. I just don't see how anyone could justify spending £1million on a guy that can't get a seat on the bench for an SPFL team and has consistently shown that he has no ability. Anyway if anyone can PL can..............ha

    Ambrose played a pivotal role in our 17 games (something like that wasn't it?) clean sheet streak last year.

    Can't even get a game in the SPFL? :rolleyes:
    He can't get a game ahead of Jason Denayer. Simple as that. Denayer is one of the highest rated young up and coming CBs in world football at the moment.

    He's also been a mainstay in Nigeria's team at International level and was in the last African Cup of Nations Team of the Tournament.

    If a decent offer were to come in for him in January, I'd be happy enough to see him leave. I hope I never see him at right back ever again though, he was giving me the fear.

    I agree that I think both of centre halfs will be gone next summer, but I wouldn't want Ambrose taking one of their places if I'm honest. I think that would be a step backwards. The money we will get from the sale of Van Dijk needs to be reinvested in two new centre halfs in my opinion. If we can get Denayer back on loan then it's a bonus.

    He is only in the Nigeria team because they literally have no-one at right back worth playing, Efe is probably their best choice.

    I personally don't rate him at all. He has no defensive qualities other than recovery pace. Can't tackle, no strength, wanders positionally, 50p heed in the air, rash as * at times as well.

    Even during that run, alot of it was down to the fact that Van Dijk was alongside him and Forster was in goals. Also the fact that for many of those games teams could not touch us! The season before it was a similar story, Wilson had a stormer of a season and helped Efe big time.

    Even if Denayer wasn't there I'd rather Lustig or even Mulgrew was moved back there again rather than Ambrose.

    He needs to be moved on in January along with Kayal ( he needs games), Berget ( not good enough).

    We need to get a left back to cover and support Izzy too!

    We're clearly better off without him at the minute but I wouldn't go so far as to call him absolutely *. He formed part of the defence which was breaking clean sheet records not so long ago.

    His biggest issue is he is simply too lax, it means he looks like Johan Cruyff one minute and Filip Sebo the next.
