I expected Wanyama to come off but you are right. A very good move by the manager.

I like Ambrose. He will make mistakes but if we want to improve as a football side, we need players like him at the back opposed to 'Bobo Balde' types who can't pass the ball. Caldwell was prone to mistakes as well but he was a top player for us imo.

I would like to see a more dominant partner for him though preferably who can also play.

Kelvin Wilson not dominating enough? He's been made captain for that very reason, plus because of his consistency too.

I said right before the goal, couldnt have been any more than 1 second "Ambrose always wins the ball and never scores... YASSSSSSSSSSSSSS" :smiley-laughing002: :52:

Lennon handled things great today. I noticed when he subbed Commons he grabbed him and said something to him then Commons and Ambrose walked up the tunnel together, must have told them to do that.

Really proud of the reaction of the fans today. Singing there's only one Efe Ambrose and clapping him like * even when his name got read out at the start, I had a feeling he would maybe get slaughtered but i'm so glad to be proved wrong.

He played very well today, as did all of the Bhoys, but especially pleased for Efe. Well in big man :50:

p.s. how much does it look like he's gonna murder Kris in this pic :56:

Probably because he looks about 30 and acts about 40. No messing and no petulance from him whatsoever.

My favourite signing of this season.

    He looks about 40 :56:

I'd love him if he did a little less of his mazy runs. He reminds me of David Luiz; clearly talented but too adventurous.

    I'm not picky.
To be honest I love it when he goes on his mazy runs BUT he needs to know when to pick and choose them and also needs to know when to only take the ball so far before passing it off to someone else. Against smaller teams it will usually be ok, but against the bigger teams it can turn out so bad and only takes that one mistake to be punished for it (just like Tuesday). He seems very comfortable & assured on the ball a lot of the time, but just needs to be more cautious I think.

Glad he got his goal yesterday as well. He will probably have been on such a downer after his two errors on Tuesday so it's good that he managed to bag a goal. Won't do his confidence any harm at all.

Gary Caldwell was good for us, that 8 game unbeaten run leading up to Tommy Burns Thursday he stepped it up brilliantly and was one of the biggest reasons for it, along with Barry Robson and Paul Hartley.

That and his elbow to the back of Christian Dailly's napper.

    Two Iconic Barry Robson moments.

Ambrose will be a very good player in a few years. He needs some of the rough edges to his game smoothed out. The natural ability and athleticism is there, but he needs to learn a bit of game intelligence.

His ability to play out the back, and his recovery pace are very valuable. But he needs to learn when to play, and when to 'do a Rogne'.
