The link is from Nigeria as well, heartland of internet deception. :56:

I don't think so though, it seems to have tangible knowledge on the agent's name and the Sun's report.

Haha exactly. Was the article written by a Nigerian prince? :icon_mrgreen:

Seriously though I'm not sure if that says much. This is how made up crap propagates. The Sun says it/pulls it out their *, then a few weeks later papers in other countries catch on and repeat the rubbish. I'm not saying that's the case hear, I just fear that it could be. Would like it to be true though. He looks useful and a new player to watch would be nice.

He looks decent enough. I'd be pleased if we signed him, as then we'd only need a target man to really get us going in Europe.

Yeah but the Sun regularly posts inaccurate things about Scottish people.

Just saying that you would expect to see a story in the Nigerian press about a Nigerian player, that proves my point anyway. The Nigerian press is probably more accurate than the Scottish press.

It doesn't really. My question was over how well thought of this source is in Nigeria. I'm sure there are very reputable newspapers there but for all we know this could be on the level of tribal football in Nigeria.

I hope the link is genuine would be happy to get him on board, clearly got potential, international player and still young enough to have good sell on value. At 400k well worth a punt, plus I am just desperate to see a new face being paraded.

With our scouts recent success here's to another top signing hopefully

It shouldnt really matter how reputable the news source is if there are direct quotes from the player stating he is in talks with us then its a helluva a lot more than we have had with the majority of the links to players all summer.

can't explain it but i'm excited about this guy. think it's because he is another unknown. under other Celtic managers, i've harboured a fear for names i haven't heard of as they were so hit and miss. under Lennon, i'm always optimistic that we could discover the next Wanyama, Hooper, Kayal, Izaguirre etc.

I know mate but this is a Nigerian site that none of us have any idea about. People still make up *, although I'll concede that it's probably accurate due to the direct quotes.

All the signs are good about this guy, a real flyer, good skills with both feet, reads the game well, an organizer, good vision and can head the ball half the length of the pitch:)

    Deal him in!!!

Apparently, he went for a trial at Man City in January, but there were work permit concerns. He's now first choice at center half for Nigeria, so that sorts that issue out.

It says his valuation was 350,000 - 400,000, and i'm not sure if his contract has ran out.

So, rather than signing the boy from PSV, we could get this guy on the super cheap and still have the money for Ki's replacement - Henriksen.

    Please make it happen!!!

I think if we signed this guy we should start playing a 3-5-2 formation

I didn't watch all that video but it looked like most of it was against one team

I do too. I reckon that's a good option for Lenny to have. Think it's fair to say he'll win everything in the air. Seems to play the ball first time and he'll be good for playing the ball our early enough to catch teams on the break.

There is a question mark about his contract, so he might be available for free.

23 years old, so we'd make money on this deal and if he's been on trial at Man City, they'd be keeping an eye on him:)

We have a couple of Nigerian boys already, so he'd feel right at home.

Can't give any real reason why (other than youtube videos which is barely evidence), but I really want us to take a shot on this guy. Huge presence, young enough but not too young that he's inexperienced, international defender, looks a good ball player and above everything else, what a great name!
