Thought Ambrose looked classy tonight in central midfield but im hoping he is as good in Central Defence, thats where we really need him.

With Brown, Wanyama, Ledley, Kayal we've got enough players who can play in central midfield.

    Great debut, looks the business.

Superb on the ball, and strong in the challenge.

    What's not to like? :celt_2:

Great debut looks excellent but have to understand the side he was up against not getting too carried away just yet.

    He looks class.
I know it wasn't against a great opposition but he definitely has great potential.

1 misplaced pass at 75 minutes on your full debut and you're cruising.

He looks classy as *, quick, composed and strong. The 1 thing I liked more than all that though, he dropped deep constantly wanting the ball and when he passes it wide he follows it looking for the return.

What a find, how the * was this guy playing for a run of the mill Nigerian side 2 years ago?

All your reviews sound extremely positive, im just worried he could be too much like wanyama and then we still won't have solved our centre back problem. If he really does turn out to be a great midfielder then we're still gonna need to find ourselves a defender. I was genuinely really hopeful we'd found a great defender.

Him and Wanyama in midfield would be solid.

The Wanyama comparisons are misplaced, they are poles apart in playing style. The comparison begins and ends at their playing positions.

Wanyama is a burly midfield general, almost impossible to shake off the ball and a harrier. Ambrose is more technically based and will spray passes in 360 degrees.

Ambrose looks a class act, when you get a player looking as confident and skillful as he did on his debut, then you are off to a winner. When we have Brown, Wanyama, Kayal, Ledley and Samaras all in that team we are going to be very hard to beat.Add a wee touch of the McGeouch magic and we have the perfect team.

No offence to anyone else on these boards, but for the time i've been on here i've found this man knows what he's talking about and i place my trust in his posts. :50:

So for someone who missed the guys debut, this is some exciting news to here. Haha!

I can't wait to see some highlights. I wonder what site will be the first to produce the goods! (Into search mode):fear:

Perfect debut. Looks like an older Wanyama, has all the composure and class of Vic but with almost none of the mistakes, fouls or slack passing.

He did look good, but need to wait until he faces tougher opposition and cb is a totally different position as well, positioning and heading ability at cb will be important, lets see how he does there first. He does look very good with the ball at his feet though which is big bonus.
