Fair enough, I got your thoughts on the albums and I won't criticize you for not liking them. I think it's all to do with the songwriting reaching out to certain people and it isn't going to reach out to everyone.

It's simply down to the fact that if you don't like something your not going force yourself to like it even if it's made by a band that you listen to.

If you like most of their stuff more power to you! its all about what you like and what you don't. I used to be a really hardcore Tallica fan back in the day but now its just their Killer stuff i still like big time.

I'm not a huge fan of live albums but S&M was an exception for me, and if I like it then it's good enough for me just as you've said too. I wont try to change others opinions on them or let anyone change mine. Good to see other's having respect for liking and not liking Metallica albums without all the constant arguing:56:

On the subject about Dave wearing a Venom shirt, he said that all his past with drugs and satanic beliefs are something that he battled with for years but finally come to terms with through the help of Christianity and music. But let's not spark a religious debate here because this is a topic about heavy metal and it's best kept like that.

Exactly there is no point in trying to change an opinion of another person who's made up their mind on something. A waste of time and effort just respect them and get on with it. :50:
I don't have a problem with his Christianity or his political beliefs their his and he's welcome to them. I just hope he keeps making decent hard metal albums.

They should remaster the entire Justice Album the production was pants no Bass, great album but it sounded like a rough Demo. Quite like this version.

If anyone ever finds any recordings of Megadeth live at Zwolle Netherlands 1991 let me know. My first "big" show ever.

Aye it sucks. Were my favourite band when I was younger. I liked some new stuff but then suddenly grew up.lol. Can't beat Master of Puppets. It is in my top 5 of all time. Kill'em All was so raw and thrashy, and unheard of really at that time. Unreal. Now they're utter *. I would refuse to see them now. Gutted I haven't ever but would tell them to * off now.

In fairness I am into metal of a different persuasion. Like a bit more of a bounce to it. (Older Nu stuff...Korn, Deftones), and industrially stuff (Cyanotic...Rabbit Junk) The Shizit.

But can't beat some good old Sepultura Arise. Metallica I've mentioned...and some groove Pantera. Yet another great band. RIP Dimebag.

Aye mine too Puppets i think will always be my fave Metal record of all time. They were light years ahead of all the other bands back in the day. Kill em all is fantastic kick * punk/metal.

It is so sad seeing them now almost like a cabaret act chugging out the hits. I wish they could see themselves back then as they are now they became everything they once laughed at.

I loved Max Calvalera era Sepultura! just great reminded me of Tallica of old.

Kind of like you my taste moved on a bit i dont listen to any new groups now just the familiar ones from a few years ago. I like other types of music also and that's a good thing.:50:

Old Sepultura were a step above in thrash, but nowhere near as classy, melodic, and classical Metallica. Sepultura were after all, all about Roots. Tribal metal. Which also kicked *. Still love Soulfly (well older stuff...with the bounce), and Sepultura with Max.

That was when i stopped listening to Sepultura after that record, the direction they took was not for me. I was never in to NuMetal just seemed to poppy and trying too hard for hits. But Faith No More who influenced alot those bands i really liked.

Early Korn, Deftones was outstanding. Was different, and it worked. I love those two bands, well early stuff. And others. Love that low, dirty, yet bouncey, metal.
As I say though...I'm into * with D&B infused in the metal, and industrial. I just love heavy tunes.

Well i might give some of those a listen, im totally out of the loop now with all the current crop of new bands i see when i have a look in Kerrang now and again. As i said my taste i music has moved on a bit now but you cant beat a bit of Metal the heavier and faster the better.:50:
