yeah but the thing is they cant just dig in their pockets, the money has to come from somewhere...and it cant be shareholders , the money would have to be raised by taking out loans.

The shareholders own shares based on the value of the club, they cant just buy more shares, there would have to be some sort of re-structuring and share issue or something. Which would de-value the current shareholders shares

increasing his share would just be buying other peoples shares, it wouldnt raise any more money for the club, just the shareholders he was buying the shares from.

The 4m for Diawara is the mystery. Are we saving that money to buy him in January or did we just not want to spend the available cash just now?

It would allow him to make it privately owned. Then invest what he liked though

Well we were in for him at the same time as Bangura - it's possible we were only intending to sign one of them anyway.

You could be right if part of the funds are used for new contracts for the likes of Kayal. I guess we will find out in a few months.

it will be a sucessfull window if this young striker Bangura is as good as everyone thinks and scores about 20-30 goals i dont know if hes going to be good enough to do that fingers crossed ,id have liked another striker too to give us more options up front , a good header of the ball (maybe there is a free about somewhere).
i would be furious if its true that , we didnt get diawara because of that useless * samaras refusing to move

maybe we were expecting to sell Sammy for 4m or maybe they were considering accepting an offer for Ki

but more than likely it was really the visa issue

Yeah but in the same article it said the deal was still in place for January when it might be possible.

The Visa issue statement came from Maritimo, not Celtic. Therefore I'm not sure how it could possible be construed as misleading?

Anyhoo if we're struggling for goals in January we'll bring him in. I can't foresee it however, we have plenty of firepower.

I know I shouldn't be comparing us to the Yahoos, but as underwhelmed as I am by our own signings, all I need to do is look across the city!:50:

Yeah that is probably the key thing to the board. If we are ahead by a few points, we may not go for him. If we are behind however, we may make an offer for him again.

If he has been identified as being a guy who could improve the team, I would like us to sign him in January anyway.
