I see the biggest shareholder in the plc. and the board as being pretty relevant to the club or maybe I'm just thick.. Peter ?

I think you could be the thick one if you think its acceptable to be outperformed in Europe by the likes of Shamrock Rovers who have an average attendance of under 4000 and make barely a miniscule fraction of the money Celtic take in through ticket sales and merchandising.

And regardless of Celtic being a PLC the billionare board is irrelevant as they never * dip into their pockets anyway smart *.:celt_2:

Would've liked another striker if I'm honest.

You clearly have no idea the rules of a plc either.

Shamrock rovers are irrelevant. They drew different teams and got in for first time. It happens.

Yes bad year for us in Europe but we will be back

I don't think it was a great window for players coming in. As I don't think we truly improved what we had.

On the other hand. We didn't get any weaker.

So it was mixed bag overall.

Well just a stab in the dark here but maybe someone with a "love of Celtic" would like all of us.. want to see us not have to go out scraping in bargain bins embarrassing ourselves in front of Europe loosing, 3 titles in a row and actually give the team the kick up the * it needs i know crazy "thick" idea..

And yes despite it being his money and he can do whatever the * he wants with it you would think along with the others they would sort out more than £3million for us.

we could have the entire shamrock rovers squad for about 1 million or less........
Rovers is a one in a lifetime.....part-time team qualifies for europe...

maybe we should go part time too. to save money then next summer spend 10 million on a striker to score 20 goals a season....despite the fact we have 2, Hooper and Stokes who scored 40 between them last season

You clearly still don't know the irrelevance of him being a billionaire to us currently being a plc.

can understand what Rosleabhoy is saying. at the same time i can undertsand what Di Canio is saying.

Di Canio wants the board to dig in their pockets so we can afford some real quality where as Rosleabhoy thinks that as it's a business, why should they? the business should be able to afford their own assets with their own finances.

i want the board to dig in their pockets but can't blame them. i wouldn't. it's my money, not Celtic's.

The board can take a view on debt, yes.

The fact Desmond is a billionaire though is irrelevant as he CANNOT just give us a few million out his pocket for players. Thus doesn't happen despite media chat about Desmond funding wages for this guy and that...they just mean giving the ok to break wage limit.

If he wants to plough more in he has to increase share in club and take over. He's not looking to do that and as far as I'm aware neither is anyone else
