It's about moving players out too. If you think £3m is a joke then you are obviously detached from reality as no SPL club will spend much more than that from now on.

Realistically how much worse can we possibly do in the current SPL climate than finish second plus get knocked out of Europe at the first attempt?
There are then fellow celtic fans who would accuse anyone that complains about our signing policy as being "unrealistic". Well I'm sorry but 40,000 odd season ticket sales, milions of fans worldwide, merchandising, matchday hospitality, etc etc taking money money money of our loyal fans and we still cant even get to the same round in Europe as * Shamrock Rovers.
    I really think its a disgrace:31::47::38:

The "billionaire" board is irrelevant. We are a PLC.

I can only assume after all the chat that we have alot of thick people amongst our support ;-)

We are not debt free. We are at least £3m in debt now.

We've done a lot more business this window

    sent 7 out on loan

Juarez, o'dea, hooiveld, mcginn, towell, Murphy, thompson

    sold 3 Maloney, mcgowan,conroy

    released 3 hinkel, hutchinson, ljunberg

loaned in 2 Forster, El Baddouri

signed 4 (2 free) Bangura, Wanyama, Matthews, Wilson

Their is a policy at the club to only invest in cheap young players we can sell on with a profit, and has been for years.

Another CB wouldve been great but what would we do next summer with 10CBs when all the loanees return, we would need to find buyers for about 7 CBs or release them for nothing,

Goalkeeper - Would've liked us to get rid of Zaluska and bring Sandomierski for £1.4M, as well as Forster on loan. That way if Sandomierski was good we could've let Forster go back to Newcastle next season and signed a cheaper back up. Likewise if Sandomierski wasn't up to the job we could've signed Forster on a permanent basis and kept Sandomierski as back up since he's so young anyway.

Right Back - Was happy enough with Wilson and Cha so Matthews was a bonus, looks like he could be a good player. Will also allow us to let Cha go at the end of his contract with a replacement already in place.

    Centre Back
    - K.Wilson already looks like our first choice centre back and Wanyama could well prove a good signing but would've liked someone with experience, and better than Maj, to play alongside Wilson until Rogne and Wanyama are up to scratch. As much as I like Mulgrew, and he's definitely good enough for the SPL, he'll get torn a new one if we take Sion's place in Europe. Would've liked to have seen Loovens and Hooiveld leave too.

Left Back - Only really needed someone to cover for Izzy's injury so hopefully El Kaddouri does the job. With any luck we'll sign Paul Dixon on a pre contract in Jan.

Right Mid - Happy with Brown and Forrest on that wing, as long as Brown's new contract doesn't drag on for much longer.

Centre Mid - Just glad none of Kayal, Ki and Ledley left tbh. And sending Towell and Juarez out on loan was the right thing to do as they could still have something to offer in the future.

Left Wing - Happy enough with Commons and McCourt and glad to see the back of Maloney.

Striker - Said all along that we needed two new strikers so despite signing Bangura I'm still pretty disappointed we pulled out of the Diawara deal, although I suppose that can't really be helped if we can't get rid of Sammy or Ras. Shame Murphy's deal isn't permanent as well.

great post, RabS. have to agree, although i'd put it more elegantly in regards to Maloney lol.

i think us getting two strikers in was contingent on Samaras leaving, something that didn't materialise.

i was more disappointed with those who didn't leave than happy with those coming in. maybe i should have a beer and look on the bright side of things?

Gutted. I'm more excited about Glen Loovens' return from injury.

Well I don't talk about "billionaires" as if it's relevant to my club as PLC. So on that, yeah
