Earliest Memory?

First game at CP was about 96/97 i think

Big Pierre scored and John Collins bent an absolute cracker of a free kick in the top corner...im sure it was against Partick Thistle

 

1980 Cup Final for me against the huns. I though Celtic's hoops were so cool.

 

think the earliest celtic memory i have is meeting brian mc clair,mark mc ghee and davy hay when i was in primary school.think i was about 6 or 7 so 22 years ago,my first game was against man city in a pre season tournament in dublin in the early 90's

 

earliest memory i have was when we got beat 4-2 in 94. i remember not being able to watch the 2nd half because i had to go to bed and then waking up and being told we got gubbed.

 

Dont want to get too picky lads,but the 6-1 game was in 1972 and was the Scottish Cup Final.The 6-3 game was the LC Final 74-75 also against Hibs and Dixie Deans scored a hat trick in both games.

 

earliest memory would properly be when celtic won 5-1 against the huns i think tht was lubos old firm debut i cant mind i was only 5 at the time:icon_mrgreen:

 

me too. 79 was the year I got into club football after having got into football through Scotland in the world cup the year before. Thats the first game I can remember. The cup final was a much bigger deal then. There were TV specials for about 5 hours on BBC and STV (two of the three channels that existed in Scotland then). I remember special quiz shows involving footballers and for some reason I remember a cup final edition of Glen Michaels Cartoon Cavelcade. I was glued to the telly, big bag of loose sweets in hand. I even remember the sweets were hoarhounds (canny get them now) which gave you a sort mouth cause they had sharp edges!! I can till remember the George McCluskey deflection of the Danny McGrain shot sending Peter McCloy the wrong wall, like it was yesterday. Then the pitch invasion and a wee tim going up to the camera 'sell-tuck'. We were actually played of the park that day and got the rub of the green.

 

I was 3 or 4.

Me: "Dad, what football team do I support?"
My Dad: "Who ever you want to."
Me: "Who's the best?"
My Dad: "Celtic."
Me: "I'll support Celtic then."

And that was me.
Went to my first match against Dunfermline when I was 5 and we won 5-2.

 

i must have been about 3. i just remember walking to parkhead and it was mobbed with green andd white lol. Got my season ticket when i was 4. i remember my first away game really well partick thistle.

remember it well mate ,i was 15 ,and had been everywere with celtic ,but never an old firm game ,my dad refused to take me ,but that was my first huns game ,some baptism of fire ,the hampden riot
