I'm starting to get the feeling he isn't the player some people seem to think he is.

The opportunities he has had he has failed to take apart from up at ICT where he at least looked to make things happen.

He's 20, he clearly has talent, we just need to wait until he can settle into the team. His performance at Dundee and a few of his other performances this season have been very good. This season has been interrupted with injuries. Next season is a very important one for him however.

The way Martinez plays Maloney for Wigan is exactly how McGeouch/Rogic should play for Celtic. The free, roaming, creative role behind the striker. Lennon NEEDS to do this.

    Why?

When you have attacking talent like Hooper, Stokes, Commons and Forrest, the rest will just have to bide their time and try to force their way in.

I think Dylan should be deployed in a number 10 role behind the main striker (either Stokes or Hooper or whoever) with either Forrest or Commons wide right and Samaras wide left. And two of Brown/Ledley/Wanyama/Kayal as holding midfielders.

He'd excel in that role and so would the team imo.

Or a complete change of style.

    so either.

    1.
    Forster
    Matthews Wilson Mulgrew Izzy
    Wanyama Ledley
    Commons McGeoch Samaras
    Hooper
    2.

    Forster
    Wilson Wanyama Mulgrew
    Matthews---------------------- Izzy
    Brown Ledley
    McGeoch
    Hooper Stokes

    3.
    Forster
    Matthews Wilson Mulgrew Izzy
    Kayal
    Brown ----------- Ledley
    McGeoch
    Hooper Samaras

Basically anything like this or variations like this would get the best out of McGeoch imo. He's not really a classic winger, so we'd need a complete change of style to accommodate McGeoch, however the negatives are that vital players would missout.

Little guy for palace really reminded me of mcgeough, the boy Williams who plays for Wales aswell, highly rated youngster who's a first team player and the way he runs and dribbles is what Dylan should be doing and given a chance in an advanced position behind the striker running at pace with his trickery unlocking defences...

Aye I thought that when I first seen him too, really similar player. So is Townsend from QPR.

Totally agree. Been saying this for months. I think most folk can see that that's McGeouch's and Rogic's natural role. I find it quite disturbing that Neil clearly either doesn't know this or refuses to act on it.

EDIT: I've also long wanted us to use a 4-2-3-1 - and again, most fans I know endorse this formation as well. I know NL's the manager for a reason - he knows better than your average fan (or he's supposed to anyway) - but his refusal to experiment with a system that would seem v likely to fit our team like a glove is confusing and surprising.

...Because McGeouch and Rogic are a different type of attacking player to those you listed: they're central attacking midfielders, and we don't tend to use those. So either we start using a formation that utilises that kind of player, or we stick McG and Rogic in central midfield with the ball-winners and waste them.

I also find it strange that he doesn't give this a go in the 4-2-3-1 formation yet persists with a 3-5-2 experiment which works at times but the first formation seems tailor made for us Ledley Wanyama or brown/kayak sitting sammy on the left Forrest on the right and commons in the middle behind the striker would be lethal, this is where mcgeough and rogic should ve coming in instead of commons trying to take there chance...
    Needs to happen next season
