It's sad when you think about, I'm convinced my mate would be the Scottish Steven Gerrard. Never seen somebody with such a will to win at football and where it just comes so easy for him. Even though he's 25 now up until last years there were still a couple of the lower division clubs trying to get him to play for them. Just won't give up the gear though.

If he stuck in when he was younger * knows what could have happened.

By all accounts, Tommy Burns wasn't even the best player from the area he grew up in.

But he was the only one who screwed the nut.....

Aye, I know another boy who got signed by a professional club in Denmark or Norway at 16 and came back because he wanted a bottle of wine with his mates. You mention it to him now he goes mental; must be a big regret.

I'd love to see him come on against Barca. He was amazing up against RM here in the states.

Real Madrid in a friendly are a far different kettle of fish than Barcelona in a competitive game. For one, even in competitive games, Real Madrid give you time on the ball.

Nah mate, no club gave him a chance after that "not got the right mentality". Turned up to a trial with Aberdeen stoned out his box.

True, but I could still see him causing trouble down the wing.

Not his best position either for me, if he was to play anywhere... in the middle. Dictating it, spreading the play, running at people.

Barca at the Nou Camp's not the place to get him involved. Could wreck the lads confidence.

He wouldnt necessarily have to start. He come come on in the second half at some point. I think he could do some damage.

Bit disappointed with his lack of involvement since hes been back fit - barely made a squad.

Is he back in the u19s? What you think is behind this? Hes not injured again is he?

Read his twitter there, he picked up another injury in training a couple of weeks back. Wonder how bad it was.
