Certainly looks promising, but it is difficult to see how he could get in our midfield, expecially with our midfield constantly being shunted around to accomodate the 'square peg' that is our captain.

Can't really do much more than he has done already to impress the manager. Thought he might have started yesterday.

i think it's going to be Lennon's best quality too. we have either brought young players into the first team or promoted our own. it's a great selling point when trying to get in young talent as they know, if they've got it, they'll get a chance here.

he handled Forrest perfectly and he has come on leaps and bounds. hopefully others will follow.

Very skillful player. Should be ousting Brown tbh.. would rather have skill than dig, plus we have 2 generals in midfield anyway.

I think he will take over Brown by the start of next season, he's a solid player too. Probably not been shown much in his breif appearances but he gets tore in as much as anyone else in the team and will chase, tackle, compete for headers and take a tackle no bother.

The bhoy will be our next number 7 ! Unless he chooses not to take it and have his own number ! He will be a star! :50: Anybody else think he looks related to McGeady?

so you think a guy who has just broken into the first team squad will push Brown out of the team by the start of next season? i know some on here don't rate Brown but that's just ludicrous. unless he makes major waves this season, i can't see it.

i hope we have more rotation in the midfield department with him and other youths coming through next season. but when push comes to shove i doubt he'll manage to budge Brown when it matters for at least another season or so.

i hope that Lennon will utilise those coming through to give first team regulars some rest during the season. he may need to consider letting a midfielder or a couple leave to allow the youth to come through. by saying 'midfield' i mean wingers. we have Commons, Forrest, Brown, Samaras, McCourt and McGeouch (not to mention George, who may get a few appearances off the bench by the end of the season). i'm all for phasing McGeouch into the team but i would feel we'd have to punt at least one of the names mentioned above to do so. 6 players for 2 positions and another 2 covering doesn't fit in my head.

I like Brown and have no problem with him playing but im not going to kid myself and say McGeouch isnt better than him and he will take Brown's position as he won't get Kayal, Forrest or Ledleys and probably not Wanyamas either, think it will take him a year or two before he actually gets a place in the middle so Brown will be the one to lose out unless he ups his game. Good compeition really but McGeouch can do the Brown role but with the class that Brown hasnt got to score and create more goals.

I think we could play McGeouch just now from the start and he'd do the business.

For example this weekend if we played McGeouch Wanyama Ledley Forrest in midfield I think we would win but Brown and Samaras will probably play instead of making a wee change.

I see nothing other than him becoming the best player in Scotland. I think he will score 10+ goals next season which will really be his debut season.

I know its not much to judge him on but he has looked great whenever he has played. Obviously scored a cracker against St Mirren. I thought he done extremely well when he came on against Peterhead:50:

For every McGeady and Forrest there's been a million other young players who showed a bit of promoise and failed for a variety of reasons.

    Lets not get carried away.
