I think Stokes tried some tricky passes that his teammates didn't read. Thats why he semed to do bad a lot of times.If they had made the run and knew the pass was coming Stoke would had some great through passes (if you understand what I mean). The lack of playing time together is probably the reason. And he has probably lost some confidence too I guess.
Just a thought on Stokes.

Izzy played that pass did he no? then Griff rounded the keeper... what part did Stokes play in it?

The 3rd was a good pass into a big space, still a lot of work to do from there for GMS and McGregor, who got lucky in the end.. easy ball to Stokes was on.

 

I like Stokes, but he was poor today. Understandable since he's played so little, but he was poor.

 

McGregor did well in that role I thought. Maybe that works better for him?

 

Someone's been reading the BBC updates rather than watching the game, as they had said it was stokes threading a ball through for the first when it clearly wasn't.

Straight to the point.

 

Shows that we are able to rotate a full team and manage to dominate a game, need a few more additions in defence but happy with all the other areas. I think we will be doing this quite a lot upto Christmas.

 

He's a CAM, played there for Notts county and done very well, he struggles a bit out wide at times but he showed when he came on his positioning is good, passing and his pace comes in handy. Definitely an option for CM.

Good result today but we really have to start converting more chances.. it is all very nice when it clicks together but one game in ten is just not often enough.

we definitely need someone who can up the team when Broony is not on the park

Enjoyed going down for that today was good to watch especially given all the changes we made. Janko must have a chance for Tuesday now, decent performance, although he wasn't tested much defensively. Griff he the man and Commons had a good game as well and deserved a goal, he could have had 2 in the opening 30 mins.
Most had a good game and it was good seeing Scott Allan getting a run out, he showed that he wont be here to just make up the numbers either with a couple of very good passes.
Think we may have seen the end of Stokes. Overall good game and great result.
