It's important who starts at RB this game with Lustig out.

Hope Janko gets a start to push for a place in the team next week

Return leg is on Tuesday, would be surprised if no one got a rest.

While I want a win for this the most important thing is no more injuries. I'm * it if Broony was injured ..

Bitton hurt himself, as did Armstrong.

We have no other central midfielders after that. Can't afford to actually rest Broony.

Well there is Johansen but I would rest him as well.

I'd play Stokes and keep Griffiths for Tues.

Changes galore in this game for me. Everything is geared towards malmo now its make or break. Id go:

    Bailey

    Janko
    Boyata
    Mulgrew
    Tierney

    Allan
    Brown

    GMS
    Commons
    McGregor

    Scepovic

Cant afford any more injuries and we looked to have a few walking wounded last night towards the end of the game.

I couldn't care less about this game after that late goal last night. Wouldn't even care if we lost 3-0, as long as we do the business on Tuesday night. Tuesday is HUGE, this isn't. I'd rest a fair chunk of the team, especially anyone carrying a knock or feeling tired/fatigued after Wednesday.

Completely agree with this. Would ideally like to rest Brown also, but we're short of quality replacements. I'd maybe play Van Dijk and have Mulgrew in centre midfield.

I said after Aberdeen played in Kazakhstan than the SPL should be doing more to help Scottish clubs in Europe and Aberdeen should have been given a rest weekend and I'd argue the same thing here. Every slight advantage could make a huge difference and the SPL should be more supportive of our clubs.

I could care less about this. I get what people are saying about Tuesday being the focus, totally get that. But, I wouldn't be willing to accept a 3-0 defeat to Dundee Utd I'm afraid. I too, would rest a couple of players, that's understandable logic. I know it's early days in the league and see where people are coming from, but I can't see how going into the biggest game of our season on the back of a * defeat to a * Utd team would help either.

I know what you mean mate. I did exaggerate a bit. Ronny rested near enough the full team last year against Inverness and look how that worked out, we lost the league game and didn't qualify. There is a lot to be said for having momentum going into a big game like Tuesday, and a league win would go some way towards that.

Edit: However I stand by not caring :smiley-laughing002: as long as we get through Tuesday of course! Losing or drawing this game wouldn't be the best preparation for doing so but as long as we did I wouldn't care.

:smiley-laughing002: it is a tricky one mate, if we go through Tuesday nobody will even remember the Utd score, win, lose or draw. If we don't go through, then it will be analysed til the cows come home. Can't win! Haha

Very very true! :smiley-laughing002: If it's a close to full strength team vs United and we don't qualify then it's "Aw * sake Ronny, its only the league, rest the players!" and if it's a weak team "Aw * sake Ronny, why rest players?! We needed them match fit before the biggest game of our season!".

    You canny win.

Griffiths must start on the weekend for me, he's on the run of his life, he's just had a storming performance in Europe, he'll be on a high, Dundee United are another chance for a few goals. Keep him on, keep up the momentum, let him play.
