was a cracking game imo, mcgeady was a joy to watch, and i fell straight out of my chair when naylor scored (literally, i jumped to celebrate when i saw the volley, then tripped and fell when i heard him say it was lee naylor :56:)

shame we couldn't get all 3 points though, i think big mick mcmanliness would have thrown himself in front of that second goal

Personally I think Sammy offers a lot more than JVOH and can still get back to what he was early season.

Find all the love for McManus really funny. I think he isnt the best but he is nowhere near as bad as folk make out. OD didnt have a nightmare or anything but I always feel there is a sieve like quality when he plays CB in SPL games. He is just far from dominant and his positioning is a bit suspect. He was good as a defensive LB recently but I would still put Mick, Loovens etc ahead of him for LCB. Real pitty Loovens was injured cause he made the best CH display of the season v Rangers and kind of reminded me of Mjallby.

Its 6 and half a dozen really. I would say Sammy just shades it as he can get into good positions then * up where as Jan can't even manage that.

Nicely put. I am not a great fan of Mick but admit he does have the basics to be a good defender an isn't that bad. Needs to get a string of good games under his belt and he will thrive I think.

Exactly what I have said about O'dea for a while now. Seems to let games pass him by a bit.

Aye Loovens was great, still he has to prove it wasn't a one off.

I thought a lot of the qualities Loovens showed v Rangers were visible in the other games he played to some degree - like his pace, dominance, passing and 2 footedness.

I have a feeling OD is one of those guys who will look big and strong as defensive LB but not quite strong enough to be a dominant CB. I always feel our box seems huge when he is at CB. Its a hard position to walk into a big team from the reserves and I think OD may have to leave us or go on a season long loan to stand a chance.

I don't want to discuss O'Dea too much as I am impartial because when I think of him I remember the horror show he had at Ibrox. * awful even for a sub in an unusual position.

Loovens has looked dominant, just at times he has been lacking in position maybe giving someone that half a yard. Though that might be down to match fitness as sitting on the bench teaches you little.
