drop brown 2mo!!!

he is our only box-to-box or attack minded central midielder. Donati, Hartley, Sno are more comfortable sitting and its Robson plays best in the Naka position. I cant see him being dropped. He made a mistake on Wednesday but he otherwise wasnt *, just a bit subdued. Every so often he looks immense. He just needs more experience and he wont get that on the bench.

 

thats spot on. The loss of energy and tracking when he is not playing is huge. He has an incredible engine. BYW, I agree that his problem is the swithc from 4-3-3 at Hibs to 4-2-2 at Celtic. Same problem as Deeks.

 

In some fans eyes then maybe.

However from talking to many freinds it has always been the same conversation.Why is Bobo not playing, yes he has made a couple of mistakes however they have been in the final minutes of massive games when the presure is on.i.e. champions league games and seville in his early Celtic career. The big man is the best CB in the SPL and pretty much has been since the day he arived.As I said m8 this view has never been changed amongst the fans I speak to.The general concensous for as long as I can remember is get him in the team.

Riorden is a player who has never been given a fair crack.The boy is not a winger he is a center forward.How can we make a real judgement on him when he dosent get a game never mind in his correct position.So no I dont agree with you that they get better in the fans minds over time.

What I do agree with is the fact Brown is used to playing in a 4-3-3 and needs time to adapt to the 4-4-2 formation.This is something I have been saying on this site now since the Summer.However only in relation to Tommy G and JJ although laterly I have also said this about Brown and Donati. The only midfield player that we have who is capable of consistantly performing in a 4-4-2 is Hartley as he is the only decent defencive midfield player weve got.However decent does not make him great and this is probably why he is not an automatc starter.

 

I wouldn't drop Brown, there's no reason to. Okay he made a mistake but name me one player all season who hasn't made telling mistakes of one nature or another. Even the Holy one had an off day at Hibs, but because he's so popular nothing was made of it. We all hurt when one of the bhoys makes a mistake but slaughtering them for it and calling for them to be dropped is needless. I'd understand if it was a regular thing but it's not with Brown. I've been pretty impressed with the boy so far. It is fair to say he's taking time to adapt but he's human and some people adapt to change more readily than others. Think of changing job...sometimes it works out, sometimes it takes you longer to get into the swing...doesn't make you * at your job, it's simply a fact of life!

We gotta remember also, the boy's still only 22 and for my money most midfielders only really come on to the top of their game from 24/25 upwards. Midfield is one of those positions where experience can carry you through a bad game and right now he's getting experience of CL footy he'd never have got with Hibs. I honestly believe we've still to see the best of him and that when we do we'll hold him in very high esteem. I don't think he'll stay with us beyond the next 3 years as I think he'll improve and we'll get an offer we can't turn down from the EPL. I'm resigned to that happening with Brown, McDonald, McGeady and to a certain extent (although not from the EPL) Naka.

Could be wrong though and just taking *...it's just my opinion like :icon_mrgreen:
