He couldn't lace Zaluska's boots, DDV is utter *.

And I don't rate Zaluska that highly either but I would rather him in goal everyday of the week than DDV

Edit- just to add I would kill for a keeper like Marshall at the moment, even when he was 19.

Rodgers signed Dorus because he's good with the ball at feet. Thats all very nice Brendan but theres more to a keeper than being capable of pinging wee floaty balls out wide to a waiting player. Dorus and now Bain have been 2 very strange signings, Bain is a keeper who was loaned out to Hibs from Dundee but couldnt get a game at Hibs.....then we signed him:43:

Some of Rodgers signings are deservedly being questioned. He may be a very good manager but he has unimpressed me when it comes to sorting out the goal keeping and defensive situation. You will get absolutely nowhere in Europe with a dodgy keeper and defence as we found out against Zenit.

De Vries had a blinder of a game in October at home vs Dundee, kept the clean sheet and without him in goals we could of easily lost that day! Every keeper has their bad moments in big games but if he starts tommorow he better not get any stick.
Remember Craig Gordons horror show vs Inter Milan in the 3-3 game
And when Arthur Boruc's howler vs Hibs

He's * it's no just one game he looks nervous as * and is a bomb scare at all times.

Bain should be given the nod.

He reminds me of that keeper that the sheep and huns had, a good enough keeper but seems to just not have the stomach for the spotlight. Strange in a professional athlete not to be able to do well in such settings.

Somebody help me out, who was the keeper the dons had, not Jim Leighton the other guy around that time. I remember my dad remarking how surprised he was that the guy had kept his nerve in the cup where Aberdeen beat us on penalties.

    He was Dutch as well.

Starting today, let' hope he has a blinder or not a busy day at the office for him.

That’s the one. I remember a game the sheep beat us 1-0 and the guy looked a total liability failing to deal with crosses and giving up second chances when he couldn’t hold the ball. Somehow managed to keep a clean sheet. John Collins could have scored a hat trick that day.

Think De Vries has been like that in several games for us. But he is an older and more experienced keeper.

You would just pepper him with shots as soon as you crossed the half way line. Can't believe Aberdeen haven't had a couple of shots from long range
