Far too early to be making judgements.

I'd give ddv another game at the weekend. He's been chucked in at the deep end really. He's only just signed.

He has done absolutely nothing to convince me he is better than gordon...sometimes Brendan can be a bit deluded ie his first game for Celtic he said he had a great game...when quite clearly he did not...

I really couldn't be less impressed with him so far. Need to give him a chance to prove himself though. He wasn't Forest's POTY for nothing. Can't believe he didn't save that * free.

Re free kick, as I've said in another post, I think he lined up the wall wrong. Neymar was taking the free kick. He's predominantly a right footed player, so will swing the ball right to left. DDV lined up the wall that had Roberts - not known for his height - on extreme right as Neymar was looking at it. DDV is covering his middle, left and Neymar bent the ball over Roberts into the opposite corner. Why didn't DDV get big guys into the wall and make it more difficult for Neymar?

Because Messi was standing next to the ball as well and takes 95% of their free kicks.

My point stands, why, that close to goal, do you put a small guy in the wall, especially vs Barca with Neymar and Messi?

We need to stick with him for the time being. Swapping them about again sends out the wrong message to both keepers.

He's just in the door and deserves a bit of slack.

I'd think it sends the right message, play * and you'll be replaced. So don't play *.

Should have done better for the first goal, covered his near post well but should then anticipate Messi going for the space on the other side and should have saved it.

Should have done better for the second goal as well, dived too soon thinking Neymar was going to shoot when he didn't and should have instead stayed on his feet for Messi's shot.

FK speaks for itself should be doing much better there.

Iniesta's goal was just a thing of beauty, not much can be done about a shot struck that cleanly on the volley.

Couldn't do much for Messi's tap in.

Couldn't do anything about Suarez roof of the net quality volley.

Couldn't do much about Suarez near post goal.

All in all 4 goals he couldn't do much about but 3 in which he could and should have. Which would have seen us at a more respectable 4-0 defeat.

Not good enough for me anyway.

    Behave.

Kolo, Lustig, Bitton, Erik or O'Connell if Erik had been sub'd, Moussa, Sinclair, Brown. Any 5 from 7. If we're going to put Roberts in the wall, then next time suggest KT stands on his shoulders.

Not completely bin mate but drop. Never know, could get a Gordon that is playing somewhere approaching the level of his first season out of it.

Broony's about 5'8. The rest I'll tale your point with. I thought Kolo and Lustig were in the wall right enough.

Still though, regardless of the wall, he should have saved that.

Bin him. No Celtic goalkeeper should survive losing seven goals. Way out his depth. Brendan should not have tinkered with the goalkeeping position on the eve of these big games, consistency and continuity should have been more important. It was not the time for experimenting.

As I said before Brendan still has some naivety in his mental make up that needs ironed out of him. This is what Liverpool fans used to complain about him.

I dont really get why there is never a big defender put on the goal line for any kind of free kick in that area with the keeper in the middle of the 6 yard box to at least cut down the angle

Because then you play every player onside and there players will just stand round the keeper

Agreed. He's barely put his foot in the door.

Give him time, Gordon got enough of it through many * performances.
