That literally makes no sense whatsoever. No disrespect intended but you come across as though you are no older than about 14.

Having watched that 2015-16 highlight reel of his saves posted a couple of pages back, he does seem to palm out a * of a lot of shots, and mainly back into pretty dangerous areas. I won't deny there are some very good saves amongst all that too but his palming out into the 6 yard box quite as much as it seemed is a worry.

Also got no confirmation from watching the video if he is indeed very good with the ball at his feet and playing it out. That I guess we will just need to wait and see for ourselves.

I thought the same, similar to what folk were complaining about regarding Vorm.

Seems to be a good shot stopper though so is Gordon to be honest. It is his play on the deck and command of area I'll be judging him on.

Sounds really intelligent, some memory on him and he clearly done his homework before the interview. Quite excited about seeing him now to be honest.

I believe this will turn out to be a bit of a master stroke signing.

Didn't know he had worked with Steve Woods at Dunfermline, good stuff!

Bailly has been sold, right? In that case, I don't think we can expect De Vries to be challenging Gordon much. He has been brought in as a backup keeper.

No, Bailly has not been sold and De Vries has been brought in to be no.1.

Someone said Fasan would be backup vs. the Israelis, so I thought Bailly had been sold.

DORUS de Vries finished last season at Nottingham Forest as the star man, but finding out Brendan Rodgers wanted him at Celtic left the goalkeeper in no doubt as to where his future lay.
The 35-year-old had enjoyed some of his fondest memories as a player under the Irishman when they worked together at Swansea City, including winning promotion to the Premier League in 2011, and he said he felt no hesitation at leaving Forest to join the Bhoys, despite a successful three years at the City Ground.
“The Championship is a competitive league, I was player of the year and enjoying my playing so I never really gave it a thought, but as soon as the phone rang with the interest I just wanted to come here,” he explained to the Celtic View.
“I was at Swansea for three years when he (Brendan Rodgers) arrived. Straight away we had a good connection in how we wanted to play and what his philosophy was. The gaffer is really well-prepared in everything, he’s a good man-manager as well and throughout the year we created a good bond and I performed well under him and we got promoted to the Premier League, which was a special occasion.
“That was a special year for all of us, including Scott Sinclair, and seeing him up here as well brings back good memories. It is great seeing him again and I worked in the past with Stevie Woods, the goalkeeping coach, when he was at Dunfermline, so for the management here it’s nice that they can see somebody whose character they know and what I bring into the dressing room.”
De Vries’ return to Scotland after previously playing for Dunfermline Athletic sees the 35-year-old complete a journey in his career that he always hoped to take again, but thought would never come.
After losing his father the year before moving to Jim Leishman’s former side, de Vries found Scotland a comforting home-from-home, and grew as a player and person both on and off the field.
Getting the chance to come back here was something he always hoped would come his way after his 2007 stint at the Pars, and to have that finally happen with Celtic under Brendan Rodgers has made the circle complete for the goalkeeper.
“It was a crazy year for Dunfermline at that time,” he said. “I say to people that I have grown fond of Scotland because in the year previous to when I arrived my father passed away, so that was a tough year, but coming here and signing for Dunfermline, there were many lovely people I met and the club just embraced me.
“I was so happy with that opportunity to show what I could do in a league other than just the Dutch league and Jim Leishman was such a great character and I really grew fond of him as well.
“It was a great season in terms of; I became a man in Scotland with ups and downs but also became a better goalkeeper.
“When I told the news to my mum she was really happy. She was in tears because she always thought I’d go back to Scotland to try to complete the circle there.”
And while de Vries did managed to get close to a trophy with Dunfermline during his time there, losing 1-0 to Celtic in the 2007 Scottish Cup final, he knows the chances to get his hands on some silverware are much greater with the Bhoys.
“There’s a lot to play for and once you’re involved at a club like this, it’s just great to have those opportunities to play in Europe and compete with the best in Europe,” he said. “That’s what you want as players.
“They have earned the right to be at the play-off stages and it’s great to be part of it. My first goal is just to get fit in the next couple of days so hopefully I’ll be training on Thursday with the squad and I’ll be looking from the stands to embrace the whole sensation of what it’s all about.”
