Great stuff. I'm excited to see Rodgers' style of play in full motion. It should terrify the regular SPL teams

Seems like a nice big guy. Worked with Rodgers, Griffiths, Sinclair and Stevie Woods before - didn't even think about the latter 3. Looking forward to seeing him play.

Seemingly he's out in Glasgow with Lustig and his weans. Big Mikael welcoming him, good stuff.

DDV: “I’m delighted to sign. I’m really happy. I’m really proud and it’s a great feeling.

DDV: “I always dreamt of this, hoped it would happen. Played here before 10 years ago. Such a great club.

DDV: “I feel honoured. Something you strive to be part of and I’m glad at this stage in my career that I can have a move like this.

DDV on playing at Celtic: “Working hard is the only thing you can do. It’s up to the manager. I played well last year. Got POTY and PPOTY.

DDV: “Hope to bring that momentum and positive attitude. It’s up to the manager. I respect the goalkeepers here.

DDV: “Craig is great goalkeeper, Logan the same, young Leo Fasan coming through.

DDV on move to Celtic: "I got injured in my last game but never a doubt that I wanted to come.

DDV: “Forest reluctant to sell their POTY but I had a good conversation with them.

DDV: "Explained it was a dream come true and luckily they were open to it.

DDV: "He’s really well-prepared, had a good bond and I performed well and we got promoted.

DDV: "That was a special year for all of us. Seeing him again brings back great memories.

DDV: "Nice to see someone who knows what kind of character I am.

DDV on fighting for No.1 spot at Celtic: "Manager asked me to show what I’ve done in the past and compete. I have to earn the jersey.

DDV: "I have to train well and hard then it’s up to the manager. I’m willing to work hard.

DDV: "You have to have self belief. As a goalkeeper it’s a huge responsibility.

DDV: "Craig has it, Logan has it and I’m sure Fasan has it as well. Interesting battle that I’m looking forward to.

DDV: "For me it’s just about coming here, getting fit then just seeing what happens.

DORUS de Vries is under no illusions about the task that lies ahead of him in trying to oust Craig Gordon as Celtic’s No.1, but the new Hoops signing says he has not come to Paradise to sit on the bench.
The Dutch shot-stopper agreed a two-year deal with the Scottish champions at the weekend and will take his place in the queue behind Gordon alongside Logan Bailly and Leo Fasan after enjoying a successful spell in England with Nottingham Forest.
The 35-year-old keeper has followed the career of Gordon with great interest, and even played against him during his first spell in Scotland with Dunfermline while the Celtic No.1 was at Hearts.
However, while respect and admiration for Gordon’s achievements are clear, de Vries also said he intends to challenge the Scotland keeper to become first-choice goalkeeper at Celtic.
“I played well last year at Forest,” he said. “I got Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year, which is always nice for a player to get individual recognition by fans and players, but I just hope to bring that momentum and positive attitude from last year into this club
“It’s up to the manager to decide. I respect the goalkeepers here. Craig Gordon is a great goalkeeper, Logan Bailly the same and there’s young Leo Fasan coming through the ranks as well. So there is good competition but we all want to strive to be better.
“You have to have self-belief as a goalkeeper because it’s a huge responsibility between the sticks, so if you’ve got no self-belief then you’ve got no place in being there, to be honest, or playing for a big club like this.
“Craig has it, Logan has it and I’m sure Leo has it as well and myself, I have it as well. It will be an interesting battle, I’m looking forward to it and Craig has done really well the last couple of seasons, so for me the first priority is getting fighting fit and then just seeing what happens after that.
“You always have to have that belief but it’s up to the manager in the end. If I don’t play well or train well it’s up to the manager to decide. If Craig plays really well there’s no point of a substitution. I’ll just keep working hard, get fit and see where it goes."
De Vries’ move to Celtic sees him reunited with Hoops manager Brendan Rodgers, having previously worked with the Irishman at Swansea City.
The pair won promotion to the English Premier League during their time together in Wales and the new Bhoy also said the Celtic boss later tried to bring him to Liverpool while he was in charge at Anfield and de Vries was at Wolves, but the move failed to materialise.
Missing out on linking up with Rodgers again was a blow for the Dutchman at the time, but he added that a combination of hard work and good luck has finally granted his wish to play under the current Celtic manager once again.
“It’s something you’ve got to deal with as a player,” he said. “It sometimes happens. In the end I look back at it sometimes and think and realise that it got me to Forest, which is a lovely club as well and that was a great move. I enjoyed my football there. By the same way, that brought me here.
“Sometimes it’s funny in life how things turn out and it’s good to be back in Scotland. To be involved in a big club like this is just something I’ve always dreamt of and finally I’m here.
"Despite what age you are or what you’ve done in the past in your career, it just comes through sheer commitment, working hard and trying to be the best you possibly can be to earn that chance. Luckily I got it.”
De Vries will now focus on his fitness after picking up a knock in his final game for Nottingham Forest, but he hopes to be in contention for the matchday squad for the upcoming weekend fixture against St Johnstone.
“I trained this morning and there was no reaction so that’s going really well,” he added. “I’m training tomorrow again on the side, not with the group yet, but hopefully I’ll join in later on in the week so things are looking good.”

    Nothing, why?

I haven't attacked you in any shape or form. If you believe so, please report the post or send a PM to the staff.

You stated we don't have the funds to replace FF, I know you never said £10m wouldn't buy us a good replacement, im telling you that £10m would get us a replacement which conflicts your perception that we can't get a replacement.
