I dont think it is that easy mate. We need to play a system we know how to play. If we want to play more defensively i think we need to do it, or close to it domestically to be used to it. Like the huns do.

We are playing the way we do as we completely demolish everyone in scotland with our system.

I would agree that we should have 2 cdm's though. And a better lb and cb.

We never have to defend in scotland so no wobder it must be q complete and utter shock for our team

I get the logic here but honestly, we should be able to coach the team to play defensively. Players go on international duty and can adapt to different systems, especially defensive ones.

It’s a choice not to do it and it needs to be questioned at this point. No excuse not to begin trying conservative counter-attacking football against Atalanta.

I agree he needs to be more pragmatic. But there's also some other parts to blame too.

Players wise they need to do their job first and foremost. If the players on the park realise things aren't working then mcgregor should imo be rallying round and getting the team to sit back a bit more rather than chasing the ball like a headless chicken himself. Taylor has to be able to make a 5 yard pass. Maeda can't be doing a cruyff turn on the edge of his own box etc.

The tactics need altered yes, but players also need to be able to do the basics right. Which as I've said elsewhere even if we sit back and try to counter we will still need to be better on the ball and more composed or the same results will happen.

I seen someone said earlier Stuttgart beat Dortmund 5-1 so what would they do to St Johnstone, Sparta Prague drew 1-1 with Stuttgart in Stuttgart last night and let’s be honest that’s a team if we had at home would really be expected to win all 3 points
