We've made it easy for them. It's like Hamilton coming to Parkhead and trying to match up to us. There's only one outcome.

 

Unfortunately it's games like this that justify them not spending too much on players. We'd be beaten by maybe a slightly less embarrassing scoreline but it's a bogey for us. The level we jump from Scottish football to CL level is too big.

I know we're not under the same pressure this half but I'd start Valle ahead of Taylor when we need to defend in Europe. He has grasped the basics of defensive positioning better than Taylor has in several years of playing for us.

 

Supporters will be tearing-into individual players tonight but this result and the other humiliations of recent times are what happens when we try to play the same way we do against St Johnstone and Motherwell against European sides, where even the most modest are streets ahead of what we face domestically. Nothing will change, NOTHING, until we adapt our play for Europe and that all starts with making ourselves hard to beat.
