Yes but not at ANY price.....He is a gifted player who has injury problems.....We cannot afford to pay large wages to a player who could spend half his season on the treatment table. For me the gamble is not worth it. Anyway this deal looks to be as dead as the proverbal dodo.

hes not wanting a sweetener ! hes just wanting the £15k shortfall to be paid. thats the sweetener the papers are talking about which would result in a 6 figure settlement. hull are not willing to do this which is why they are hanging out till nearer the deadline to try and offload him. hes made his position clear so if hull are going to do that and celtic arent going to pay him £45k a week then thats that. hes not messing anybody about and he aint keeping anyone hanging on so dont get on his back as he will earn £45k a week playing in the championship anyway. its an easy life if u can get it..............

but adam pearson said hull were willing to pay a significant portion of his wages, it seems to me he wants a one-off payment on top of his weekly wage

In reference to the thread title i'd close the door and quick! The wages could be given to a quality striker or CB!! We don't need Bullard, Whittingham would be nice as a goal scoring midfielder if we're going to sign someone as he is younger. Bullard is too old. I think if Ki get's starts next season through open play and freekicks he'd score 10-15 goals easy.

So would I, a striker should be our priority at the minute though.

i was hopin to sign bullard a few weeks back but i think with juarez and ledley signed there are bigger priorities than another central midfielder

"But now it seems Jimmy wants extra cash on top as well and he has jeopardised the chance to play for a great club. Who would not want to play at Celtic, with a chance of
    European football and silverware?
Hull City were prepared to subsidise a year in Glasgow for Bullard. Let’s just say we would have made a significant contribution to the overall wage package."

The Mirror said he was expected to sign on the Friday of that week, subject to a medical a few weeks ago.

i so hope this deal is DEAD, We do not need a sponging, injury prone, trouble causing * at Celtic, i only want players who are willing to put there heart and soul into playing for us and he's made it quite clear he is only in it for the money.
1 bad tackle which i'm sure the huns will do at the first attempt and he's out for the season. NO THANKS.
