Stood Out? A preseason match against Man City is the only one I remember.

Scoring in a UCL playoff match at 5-0 down means * all.

Maybe a search of all the match threads when he played should remind you of what this is really like.

According to threads on here, everyone stood out in preseason which is why I dont care for preseason performances

Only Mcgeady has a higher score on the "player of the season" thread, but I guess you didn't check that one

we had this preseason debate before,i think they do matter especially when they are trying to impress a new manager.

with donati scoring in the last second v arsenal tells me that he was still willing to try untill the last possible second..if you look at hammers motm poll i think you ll see donati in the top 3 of this years/seasons "better players"

hey im no arguing with you ,but at this moment in time hes been one of our best players and far to many HAVE and continue to be inconsistent

Well he was out to impress people, that is true cos he was after a new contract, you'll see the same with Lee Naylor and Mowbray said this too.

If he did get a new contract, what do you think would happen? The old Massimo would be back.

You seem to think he was out playing well for the jersey, I think he was thinking of his pocket and his family.

He's an inconsistent player, previous seasons have proven that

    i never said that

I think he was thinking of his pocket and his family.
99.9% of players do the same thing

If he did get a new contract, what do you think would happen? The old Massimo would be back. i guess we will never know

:56: One champions league goal dosn't add millions to the price tag, espicially when he looked like a bag of * in the first leg. I was actually suprised he featured so much under Mowbray but now i understand, shop window, and well done on Mowbray's part. 1.75m for Donati is very fair on both sides, we should invest that in N'Guemo because i reckon that lad's just gona keep getting better.

Moggas best move in the transfer market so far. cant believe the wages this fud was getting, one good preseason and people think he is a good player. People also saying he never got a chance, there was a reason for that he is *!!

if we were to read through your posts would there be any reference to donati being a fud,or wages being paid

in strachans time at celtic i was probley his biggest critic on here ,and when i was downing the team as being * i got pelters ,even though it was plain to see

my point..strachan baught him mowbray got him to play better and got money for him and i cant recall you calling him a fud when he was a celtic player ,

Can anyone else remember Donati in the early Championship Manager editions when he was Atalanta then signed for Milan, he was an absolute superstar in that game.

I remember games when he played well under Strachan and I remember games when he was anonymous and I can say the same for under his short spell under Mowbray. Management of the player isnt the issue, its the player himself and its no surprise that he spent more time on loan from AC Milan than actually playing for them.

he wasnt a particularly good player, and we've got about 15 guys in that position anyway - he's never as good as Barry Robson, N'Guemo or Brown so good idea to get rid of him -

Great move by Tony Mowbray, i dont think he was actually that good in the matches so far
