Think there is any chance he could use Abada on the left as a kind of Scott Sinclair?

I absolutely think that we should upgrade and we should buy big at LW but was talking to one of my mates and he made a good point. Sinclair and Abada are very similar in their wing play, very direct, they're quick. Could be an option.

Tbh, if he's any sort of success, I'm all for never selling him.

Someone else in here suggested that and I think it could work really well. Wouldn't be surprised it that's how Rodgers sees him fitting in.

I think with the right coaching he could be ideal for that inside left forward. Not got a lot of tricks but has that raw pace, timing of runs and finishing. A bit like Harvey Barnes at Leicester.

Liel Abada couldn’t be any less direct if he tried. Him beating a full back is that rare I couldn’t even recall a single time it has happened.

In reality his best position long term is probably as a centre forward. He has excellent movement and finishing, an extremely clever knack of popping up where the ball lands because he’s reacted quicker than the defence to be in position.

A source from Croatia has refuted Schira and the Turkish source he's reporting about. Page 3 of this thread.

If there's one press not to trust in the entire world its the Turkish.

They literally link Fenerbache and Galatasaray with every reasonably well known player in Europe.

    Edit: Romano however... :(

Like most things, there's a balance to be struck. A team full of prospects won't get us very far, however a side built with the sole intention of winning now with no consideration to financial returns down the line isn't a recipe for long-term success.

He’ll be getting big wages there, can’t really compete with that.

A bid last night? We can still send one of our own. Don't wait Celtic, offer close to the release clause, and remind both Dinamo and Livaković that Turkish clubs can be dodgy about payments.

If we are genuinely interested this hasn't just come out the blue so why are we not putting in a bid?? Serious question btw.

We would have known his value and that wasn't going to change.

Is this one of these let's leak it when its too late so we can use the Celtic trademarked tried and failed line??

Hope you do not mind my opinion. We (Benfica) have a GK similar to him. Odysseas Vlachodimos. Great shot stopper, unable to command his area or play with his feet. I am praying for a new keeper for 2-3 seasons now. Seems like this will be the year.

Livakovic is not a modern GK. Your team will get exposed if/when you play with a high defensive line because the guy is stuck to the goal line, will not come out to crosses and his distribution is poor so any build up from the back is weakened by having him.

For comparison, he is a budget DDG. But keepers such as Ederson or Jan Oblak (miss them) are much more effective in today's game. No offense, just the opinion of an outsider who misses having a complete GK at my club. Having said this, all the best to him if ultimately signs for Celtic.
