The board aren’t fit for purpose. They’ve held this club back for years it’s just taken they * across the road to get their * together for people to notice.

Everyone needs to wake up before it’s too late.

Managers spend 90 days rejecting us and CEOs resigning after 5 months. Stop making excuses, something is clearly *. No one can argue we’re being run as best as we can and that alone is enough reason to shake things up.

It’s supposed to be the pursuit of excellence not the pursuit of mediocrity.

‘Doesn’t really bother me mate, I’m a football manager I don’t run the club - I leave that to people better qualified than me to do that I just pick the team to win football matches’

That will be almost word for word his answer.

No one is going to explicitly come out and say anything, there are layers upon layers of contracts to ensure that. You need to read between the lines.

It seems to me some supporters just can’t entertain the idea Celtic might not be well run. At best, everyone must surely admit we’re run by C players instead of A players, and that’s very generous.

Even without this latest scandal the board isn’t fit for purpose.

The club is being run by accountants theirs no gamble with them they try to get maximum value for any outgoing and incoming an investor puts money out in the hope that it pulls money in and snowballs … now Desmond is an investor don’t get me wrong but he made his investment with Celtic in shares he lets accountants run the club to keep that money invested safe in effect taking away the gamble

I can’t wait for everyone to be raging in September but have forgotten about it by season ticket renewal time so we can go through this all again next season.

I legit think our plan for Celtic is to hope the huns go bankrupt again.

McKay not taking Lawwell's help lead to one meh CB (Starfelt), one OK backup (McCarthy), one hopefully good LB/CB (Scales), one Croatian NT right back, one good GK (Hart), one excellent forward (Furuhashi), one excellent winger (Abada), the top Eredivisie goalscorer last season (Giakoumakis), and a loanee winger (Jota).

Meanwhile, transfers last summer under Lawwell's guidance: a pricey, disastrously bad GK (Barkas), a really bad, pricey loanee CB (Duffy), a bad loanee LB (Laxalt) a good CM (Turnbull), a renewal of a good loanee LW (Elyounoussi) and a bad striker (Ajeti).

    I wouldn't take Lawwell's "help", either.

He came with a solid reputation and was successful in the Rugby World a Sport that seems to be constantly evolving and modernising..

Difficult to know if the club weren't willing or ready for his ideas and vision or his ideas were pish.

Not sure what to make of this situation and I won’t speculate. Just hope we win the next game and continue to improve.

The last guy with ambitions for Celtic was also chased out the club.

I just hope the fans don’t buy the spin on McKay’s departure, in the same way they lapped it up with Rodgers.

I don’t think it matters to be honest.

Either they’ve hired him without asking his ideas and realised months later they are pish.

Or they’ve hired a man knowing his ideas but absolutely no intention of implementing them.

It’s a scandal either way and obviously heads should now roll.

    They won’t, of course.

I said the transfer window wasn’t good enough for us.

Everyone on here was saying it was a good window but we’d have a big January to move us further forward.

A week later and the CEO has resigned (you know, the guy working on the January stuff) and the response now is, ‘meh, not really bothered just hope we beat Ross County today’.

    I honestly despair.

We delayed because McKay needed time but he would come good eventually, so I presume the next excuse I’ll hear is the next guy needs time to?

Can someone please clarify for me why this isn’t a big deal? What happens in January now?

100% should be a massive protest today but that Celtic support has long gone.

    The apathy is staggering.

I was talking about Ange but both work in fairness. Discarding an employee for a billionaire businessmen will be the epitome of water off a ducks back.
