100% Lawwell all over again IMO, possibly even worse.

Anyone coming in at that level doesn’t play second fiddle to their predecessor. Either he dealt with Howe and * it on his own, or he’s too much of a shitebag to take over and left it to Lawwell.

I'm not writng this guy off yet, but this whole * really does underline why McKay really should've been in position before now. When there is so much uncertainty around the club, its little wonder potential managers may be hesitant, to know what players to keep and those to replace, what sort of budget to work with, and everything else, and all of that starts with the security of the chief executive.

He has done a solid job with Scottish Rugby which is why am keeping an open mind, but really, this should've been in place long before now. Celtic tried to cheapskate it, letting McKay finish out his SRU contract, rather than announcing, say in March, to pay SRU off the last couple of months of his contract with them, and even if it meant keeping Lawwell on in an advisory capacity while the handover was completed, taking over reigns gradually, in regards to the future planning, rather than just having this whole situation just drift along aimlessly.

Not sure if anyone managed to answer this.

Comes to mind again, as I do now have the actual fear this guys been appointed as another "job for the boys" and is just going to slot in place as Lawwell mk2

Mackay is used to kicking the wrong shaped ball in Midlothian.

He's a member of the Edinburgh Elite. His first big test and he's failed. What a disasterous start.

I doubt he's ever met a football manager in his life let alone know the sport. What a scummy Edinburgh *.

    Get * Mackay.

Communications was a supposed strong point for this guy. So far he hasn't spoken a word to the fans, aside from those privy to the box-ticking exercise a couple of weeks ago. Even then it was unimpressive. Been involved with the Howe negotiations which have blown up spectacularly. Nothing positive from him, well and truly on the back foot.

Had a big hole to dig out from and its caved in on top of him with today's announcement.

I'm willing to give him more time, before calling for his sacking etc.

But * like Brian Wilson, Ian Nicholson and others can get so far to * from this club. A board that is meant to work in the best interests of the club and hold others in key positions accountable. And these * do * all because they sit comfortably on the gravy train.

Absolute * dobber. Him and lawwell have probably spent the last month planning this year's Christmas advert and forgot they were supposed to call Eddie Howe back.

Be lucky if he lasts a year if we don't have some major improvement on the pitch and in communications. Feel we are one announcement away from a protest.

When ye think about it, why would the Board appoint someone they couldn't control.

Shame, I actually had high hopes getting someone new in... was short lived it would seem.
