i'm a big fan of samaras, on his day he's unplayable... but it's not consistant enough, an if we're going to get 3m to invest in a more consistant striker, then i'm happy with that.


although i've a feeling big sammy will prove all his doubters wrong next season, if he's to stay.

Yes we should. Selling Samaras who is one of the least intelligent footballer I have ever seen for 3 million then we can pull Bothroyd in for Nothing. Its a No Brainer! We could Bring in at least 2 players better than Samaras with the resulting 3 Million.

I wouldn't be able to turn down £3m for him if I was in the position of power. He has no consistency in his game and 3 goals in one season for a guy who calls himself a striker is simply not good enough, especially at a club like Celtic, where success is demanded.

If we got £3m for him, it'd be £3m closer towards getting Shane Long or another great striker. Think about it like that.

 

Absolutely, to be honest I wasn't happy to hear he signed a new contract and would have been content if he left for nothing this summer. Getting that kind of cash for him would be a major coup. I appreciate a lot of folk on here think he is class and I respect their point of view, just cant see what they obviously do. I go to every home game and I hold my breath any time he gets the ball and seeing some players frustration with him makes my mind up

 

I had the feeling when he signed the contract it was just so if he left it wasnt for free. Makes sense, teams from all over europe have shown interest, he's a greek international too. For 3 million I couldnt say no, who cares how good/bad he would play when he left because he didnt perform for us. Sound guy and he likes the Club but we need a prolific partner with hooper, someone who can really produce when we need it most!
