    Too inconsistent for me and just never has shown any indication that he has a lot of goals in him.I would happily see Celtic take 3m from the Russians for him.

    Yes for me. Think thats about the most we'll get for him. If Hooper and Stokes where to get injuries and be out for months I don't think we could depend on big Sammy to bang them in

    i dont think i can go through another frustrating season of sammy. u know wat u get with him one good game out of every 6/7. that is not good enough for celtic football club. get rid and bring in some consistently talented footballers. btw how someone wud pay 3mil for sammy is beyond me.. are they mad??

    I actually like the guy but its his lack of goals and often strange decisions which drive me nuts. He has the potential to be great but I don't think he has the football brain to make it to greatness.

    I like him and there is a great player in there but I have my doubts if it can ever be brought out. He was a better player earlier in his Celtic career and has got worse in front of goal. For 3 million I would sell him.

    If we got a £1m for him it would be good business. When compared to what we paid for Stokes and Hooper anyway.

    Will have been a shrewd move from the board if this works out as I cant see any other reason for him being tied up for 3 years.

    Well if Lennon does sell him, he better make sure he's bringing in at least 2 more strikers in the summer, otherwise all that is left on the bench is Murphy..

    I think we should sell him, especially if we get £3m for him. The evidence is there that states that he's never going to be clinical enough. He's a striker and doesn't score enough goals for us. It's frustrating.

    We all know he has some ability but he does not show even half of his ability often enough.

    And for someone his height, he seems useless in the air.

    It actually makes me sad when I think back to Sammy's debut. When he scored that wonder goal at Rugby Park I was so excited. I thought we really had a player on our hands. I was actually a fan of Samaras for quite a while and defended him even in the face of some pretty inept performances.

    But things have gone too far now. He's been absolute * for too long. It's time for him to go.

    We got Hooper for £2.5m. So if we can sell Sammy and find another gem like Hooper for the same price that would be an amazing piece of business.
    Or punt Sammy and sign Bothroyd for nothing and spend the £3m elsewhere in the team.
    Honest big guy and can be superb when in the mood, which isn't very often. But 3 goals in 1 season by a striker is terrible.
