    No really

The odd bit in Irish but that's about it. Did French at school for the first three years in secondary but barely mind * all. Why the * would I want to learn French? Why is mostly French taught in schools anyway?

It comes in handy if you're ever in France,or any other places accross the world where the language is spoken.

    Impressive.

How have you managed to learn the languages? Tried several times to learn Spanish, know bits and pieces, but not really enough to get by on.

I live in Spain, wife is Spanish. Lived in Valencia 3 years, just kind of picked up Catalan quite easy.

As for the others - self-taught. I've started on Swahili. I just like languages. I don't find languages difficult usually - I think my head just works in strange ways. HArd to explain. Learned to speak German quite well and understand nearly everything in about a week when I was there. Found it quite disturbing myself actually. As I say. Odd head for languages I've got.
