Serious question. Those that say they miss them, do these fans still attend games regularly?

To be honest, no. Mainly due to work commitments and suchlike, but I don't find myself busting a gut to make it to a game if I'm arriving home on a Saturday morning these days.

The league simply doesn't matter to me anymore. It doesn't matter if we drop points in a game, because I know that those teams behind us simply don't have the resources to mount a sustainable challenge, and I know that this won't be changing any time soon either.

If I'm being honest I don't even really care about us getting the league trophy this season (which is something I thought I'd never say). I'm only concerned with who we get in the Champions League, and seeing how far we can crack on with that.

Perhaps even worse than that is the indifference I feel we are getting from a sizeable chunk of the playing staff to the league as well. If the players can't be arsed turning up, then why should I?

For all those who miss the R@ngers.....

Why did you not dig deep and save the club in their hour of need ?

Why did you stand 'idly' by and let your rivals die ?

Why would having a bigoted bunch of Tax cheats, supported by sectarian singing supporters, add anything to your quality of life ?

If you jump down off your soapbox for a wee minute and read my first post in the thread you'll know the answer to why I miss Rangers (not Sevco or whatever the * they're called now).

There's only one Champions League qualification spot in the SPL now. Last year, Motherwell came 3rd and took the place of 2nd spot, due to that being vacated. We won't be getting two CL places again for some time...

I only ask because people seem to be talking about the drop in attendances, and i'm not only aiming this at you, but if people can't be arsed to go to games then of course there will be a drop in figures. Obviously people can't attend every game, and money, work etc can be another obstacle, but some sections of our crowd have given up on Celtic simply because there is no Rangers nowadays. So much for faithful through and through! I go and watch Celtic because I love the club. I think this lack of competition excuse is pretty poor in all honesty. You say that the players sometimes can't be bothered to turn up so why should you? Because if you love the club you support that much, it shouldn't matter. That is just another excuse for some people this year in my opinion. Maybe the players are thinking the same thing, if the fans can't be bothered turning up.

Yeah, I know. The point I'm making is that one of the better run clubs in the league as far as finances goes got into the Champions League qualifiers, got a couple of games in the Europa League qualifiers as well, and who have spent nothing in transfer fees for years is operating at a loss.

There isn't any competition coming from the rest of the teams in the SPL.

As you said, everyone's personal circumstances are different. Celtic aren't the be all and end all of my life. I have other commitments as well, and I have to try and fit them all in.

At present our games in the league offer very little return for my money. Sad, but true. I'm no longer excited by going to watch us play in the league, because it's already won before a ball is kicked.

In all honesty, there's a good chance I'll be attending more under 20's games next season than SPL matches!

Yes and I sit with empty seats all around me every week. The guy who sat next to me at the start of the season hasn't been at a league game since November or something. Last time I seen him was Juventus.

I'll never stop going to games but I want us to be challenged and I don't see whats wrong with that.

There is nothing wrong with it! But you have still went and supported your team. Would you have considered not going this year because Rangers aren't in the League? Because it's evident that a section of our support have taken this stance.

I definately miss a rival and the old firm games, however the enjoyment I'm getting from what's going on at sevco in recent times makes up for it.

Don't miss them in the slightest, it's allowing us to do better in Europe - them not being in the league allows us to focus on Europe more.

Well they are deid now. Deal with it mate.

Do you miss all the decisions given against us in favor of them and cheating which in turn cost us the league?
