Do You Have Any Confidence in the Board

The board is only intrested in financial success and it has effected our success on the pitch.

 

I think in the next 2 transfer windows we need to put all the money we have into a Goalkeeper and centre-backs. We hardly ever spend a penny on defenders

Forster, Zaluska, Matthews, K.Wilson, Rogne, Majstorovic, Cha, El Kaddouri, Mulgrew... all bosmans/loans

Only Loovens, Izaguirre and M.Wilson were bought and one of them was bought over 3 years ago and another bought almost 7 years ago

 

yes the board have made mistakes but it has been poor spending by celtic managers that have left us with average players that we cant get rid of not board.if they win league again then everybody must have a good hard look around and see where we go from there

 

The board gave us MON and WGS....they won stuff but the fans wanted WGS out for a more celtic minded man...the board have given us two celtic minded men one failed and the other is ongoing........
To say they dont care is insulting to them,after all most if not all are fans aswell...its also not there fault there is no money in the spl.
This board when they could gave us.....larsson,lubo,sutton,big bad john,petrov.
But now with no money they find those sort of players hard to afford,i think its out of order that the worlds greatest fan are tunring on there own when times get tought.

we have had 3 years of tough,wee the fans are ploughing money in,and we are being asked to watch the dead wood try and kick a ball,we see players being giving contracts when they are absolute rank rotten.

the lennon brigade novelty has worn off,the board dictate what he spends and lennon the "AYE" man has made many clangers,December he will be gone and bang the same * starts over again because the board are all up for looking good on paper

Hey, I blame the fans that chased WGS out the door. He would have won that last title however if the board weren't so tight.

1 trophy in 3 years says it all.
We lost the league last year to a poor hun side and the board celebrate by announcing a debt reduction of £5.5m during the summer.
Maybe if they spent the £5.5m on a quality defender we could have won the league and pocketed £10-15m champions league money this year.

 

For some reason fans think the money they pay is enough for high grade players to be at celtic....its not,the spare cash celtic has each season is tiny...only 1 or 2 million.
You want better players you have to pay more.....fact,the over draft celtic have is only 14 million that will get you one good player then the buffer zone the club has will be nearly gone.
Do we really want the club running with maybe only 1/2/3million to spare.....?? i dont thats the road to ruin.
The player we have is what the club can afford,they are * cause we dont have the cash to buy better....and lets be honest in todays market 14 million is * all,its not enough to make a difference to our club.
Rangers winning the last three years is nothing to do with money,i think we have had better players in most parts of the team when you compair them to the huns,they won it cause we have * up with managers and we have also bought 2/3 teams in 4 years.....how many clubs do that.
The manager and the player need to sort there heads out and stop * about....we did beat them most games we played them last season.....they didnt win the spl we threw it away.

Yes we have been * but to say the board are only thinking of balance sheets it just rubbish.

We are at least 30-40 million away from being in the CL each season,the teams in it are now paying 20/30 million per player.

 

we dont win this league the pressure will be at boiling point more people will be looking at the board. they * us about so much and I cant believe some people still dont realise it we could have buried them in more than one occasion but they have been so stingy in releasing transfers funds we deserve better !!!

 

This is the problem.....we are so * * bent of * ranger we are ready to take bigger and bigger risks to kill them off.

See this is the problem.....did he say he wanted him.....did the board make a offer....was the asking price just * stupid......did the player even want to come to celtic.
To many on here believe all they read in the papers....celtic want....blah blah....celtic wont pay....blah blah.
We have been linked hundreds of player since wgs was here and we maybe only really tried to sign a few of them.
Its not always the boards fault players dont end up at celtic.
I was talking about the risks the fans were ready to take with our club.

 

As I just said in another thread I have every confidence in the board. They're doing a great job financially and I can't see the problem with our team apart from the central defence and the keeper. We have loads of central defenders and some of them just don't seem up to it. Not the boards fault, it's the manager's fault. He chooses the players to sign! The goalkeeper again was chosen by the manager not the board.

 

The board has kept the team financially solvent. That's their job. We could spend money we don't have to bring in overpriced players, but then in a few years we'd end up like that other team in Glasgow. I know it's not what the fans want, but you can't spend more than you make. As long as the money in European football continues to spiral out of control, Celtic will have a hard time competing in Europe.

 

As far as I can remember we bid 2m for him Hibs wanted 4m, and Steven Fletcher came out a few days after the bid was rejected and went absolutely mental at Rod Petrie for rejecting the offer funny thing was they sold him to Burnley for 3m so I think it was more a look we've had enough of you buying up our players just go * yourself! These things happen nobody can say for sure he would have made that much of a difference that year.
