No, I'm sure this has been said before but any I find anyone who is embarassed by having Lennon as our manager to be an embarassment themselves. Gone through so much * even off his own fans and is still willing to give his all for this club.

Kenny Clark is among the most bitter, hateful Huns alive and has never made any attempt to disguise his hatred for all things Celtic and Neil Lennon especially.

    On yourself Neil :50:

At the risk of angering the mob, I'm going to play devil's advocate and state a case for the other side of the argument.

I disagree with the statement "Neil Lennon is an embarrassment to Celtic" because for the most part, he has been a success at Celtic. In the majority of his interviews he comes across as cool, collected, articulate and intelligent. Rather than embarrassing Celtic, he is for the most part a strong and charismatic figure.

However, he is not without controversy, as we are all aware. While I disagree that he is an embarrassment, I still think he has embarrassed the club on several occasions. I wouldn't call him an embarrassment to the club because of a few incidents though.

Last year when we scored a late winner at Tannadice, Lennon came running on to the pitch like it was the CL final. Not only is this against the rules, it is a complete insult to all the people at Dundee United. Imagine for a moment that United were playing at Parkhead, and they scored a late winner. How would you feel that if in the immediate aftermath of the goal (FT had not been called), Peter Houston comes running onto the Parkhead pitch celebrating like crazy. It would be downright undignified and EMBARRASSING. It's the kind of thing we'd see McCoist do and laugh, "You call that dignity?"

Last season, and we're beginning to see it again this season, Lennon had no respect for the rules that everyone else followed. He would often openly criticize refs, to the point that there was a national strike! He got more than one touchline ban for his childish antics on the touchline. He played a major part in the OF 'Shame Game', a game in which he actually SQUARED UP to the opposing manager. That is embarrassing.

This season he seems to have matured. Well, at least when we were winning games. As soon as we start losing he's at it again, blaming officials, throwing tantrums on the touchline, getting himself in trouble breaking rules and doing things that he's been punished for before but he's doing them again. He doesn't seem to learn that he is NOT above the rules. There is no conspiracy against him; all the other managers get the same treatment. It just so happens that they know how to conduct themselves.

I was particularly embarrassed after the league cup final. I watched the game with neutrals. I thought the Stokes penalty incident was at a push a penalty. My neutral friends thought it was never a penalty. Replays showed me that indeed it wasn't a penalty. It could have been given, but at a very big push. Neil Lennon said in his post-match interview that it was definitely a penalty, no doubt at all and that it was an awful decision. Embarrassing.

What makes it more embarrassing is that in the incident that got Cha sent off in the OF, Lennon claimed that it was never a red, despite there being more contact in that incident than in the LC Final penalty incident. That is just ridiculous.

Lennon still has a bit of maturing to do. He's obviously a very smart and capable manager. He just needs to control his temper.

I'm going to get slated for posting this but if everyone agreed with everyone else then it would just be boring. Try and keep it civil, people!

I'm delighted with Lennon. He's had a fantastic season and has done terrifically well for a relatively inexperienced manager. Lesser men than him would have cracked by now.

My avatar is perfect, taking into account everything that has been happening today. The one and only Stan getting stuck right into the scum officials in this country :icon_mrgreen:

Neil Lennon is anything but an embarrassment to us. He does what he does and says what he says because he cares so * much about Celtic Football Club and everything we stand for, as an institution. Anyone who votes "yes" in this poll is either:

    A) Incest-loving Hun.

    OR

    B) A special type of Celtic supporter.

Just seen Wenger has got a 3 match touchline ban and £33,000 fine for improper conduct against AC Milan. Where are all the articles and comments about him being a loose cannon and an embarrassment then?

No real need for explanation on my 'no' vote, majority of posts cover my opinion on the matter.

Some are more intelligently put than I would care to take the time to write too :50:

so because Neil played with his heart, and know manages with his heart, he is considered an embarrassment.
i take it this * is initiated by the media.
the same media who, every time publish a picture in there * papers, make sure the picture is of Neil on the touchline, snarling or haranguing his players.
never see a photo of him smiling or laughing.
    *, devious *.

    put in this way.
I'd rather see Neil Lennon pacing the touchline like a football manager, than
fat sally, standing there greeting like some wee * with a skint knee. :56:

To put it simply; Arsenal come from a country which is currently in the year 2012. Sadly for us playing in Scotland, the date is still set at 1812. Terrorism is alive and well in Scotland. First they let the Lockerbie Bomber free, now sending a bomb is just "assault".

Give it a week or two and murder will merely "recommended against."

    Only in Scotland!
