The demographic of the country makes this entirely feesible. A point that is overlooked. I dont think there would be many Celtic fans who could referee a game fairly involving Celtic. * if I was refereeing and the opponents keeper scored from a kick out I would give offside against the keeper.:icon_mrgreen:

Given that it is claimed that RFC have supporters/hun minded people amongst half the nation, it is ridiculuous to suggest there would not be an uneven amount of them involved in the game.

In Mowbrays season in charge over half of the other SPL managers complained about. Reid of Hamilton and Gus McPherson (an ex hun) were another two.

:56::56: To be fair to Mogga, even though we were poor that season, he had to put up with more honest mistakes than I can remember anyone else having to.

But we also get cheated in Europe more times than any team I've ever seen, and I don't think there isn't an agenda there. Juve away, Man Utd away, Spartak at home, Man Utd at home, Arsenal away, Udinese at home, just off the top of my head. Unless you want to apply all these to the big team vs small team argument (which I would say is an undeniable fact that big teams get decisions against small teams no matter where you go in football).

I hate the claims that we get "cheated." the refs are terrible but c'mon we get cheated ? Even look at last Saturday, Aluko gets brought down in the box and gets booked for diving and not a word gets said yet the same thing happens to stokes and we moan for weeks.

I'm not claiming that the standard of refereeing in this country aren't horrific but consistently claiming we get cheated just makes us seem stupid.

The only thing that is stupid is people who continue to say we don't get cheated in spite of loads of actual facts.

I wouldn't say nothing gets said about it. I would imagine on hunmedia they are raging about it just as much as we were, if not more. Besides, you can see why the ref gave that decision. There was contact, but Aluko went down late and dramatically, looking for it. Plus he has previous with diving.

Who cares what happens in these nothing matches !How can you seriously use this to balance out decisions against us that cost us cup finals, old firm matches, and as a result leauge championships.

The only thing that embarasses me are some of the celtic fans who are afraid to man up and speak their mind. For Gods sake open your eyes and look at the evidence thats in front of you.

This is where we seem to be on the receiving end of more/most of our bad calls. How many times have we been on the wrong side of dodgy to plain ridiculous calls at Ibrox in even the last few seasons, yet the "evens itself over the season" brigade can only use the Wallace non goal (which was impossible for the officials to call) as "proof" that it happens to them.

Also for those that doubt they have been favoured there are two former Scottish refs who do (or did) go about doing after dinner speaking at hun supporters clubs openly boasting that they never gave us much and rarely gave anything against the huns. One was Brian McGinley and I dont recall the other guys name (might have been Tait?). The latter also requested that he was given a Rangers game in his final match as a thank you for his service (a ref can never request which game he does) and it was granted ffs.

The only thing that is embarrassing about Neil Lennon is the way he has been treated since he set foot in Scotland. The treatment he has received has been nothing short of disgraceful. Every Scot should, to some extent, feel ashamed that a man who came to this country to play football has been subjected to the things Neil Lennon has.

I think we have probably been cheated in the past. But I think most teams have probably been cheated in the past. I will never forget an old firm game when I was a kid and they had a goal chopped off from offside when it wasnt. Before the game my dad and uncle recognised the linesman (who I think was drafted in last minute) as the most rowdy nutter from their old celtic supporters bus. They were joking before kick off that he would do us a favour, and then it happened!

So yeah, no doubt it happens. Especially when teams like celtic and rangers have so many fans outwith glasgow - it is almost impossible to regulate. But I do think it is funny that while celtic fans think officials are out to get them, every other supporter in the country outwith rangers complain that the old firm get every decision going for them. Furthermore, teams in the lower divisions could be getting cheated every single week and noone would know besides a hanful of people who watch these games. It is self indulgent nonsense to assume most of this country frankly give a toss as to who wins between celtic and rangers.

Personally, I just dont see any conspiracy. I think it is no coincidence that 'conspiracy' chat appears when our team is doing poorly. We just won 16 in the bounce then after losing two games in a row you get the whole referee bias nonsense coming out. Were these officials not paying attention while we thumped everyone in the league? Seeing as we are one of the most successful teams in the world in a domestic sense, I think if there is a conspiracy they are not doing their job properly!

I completely agree. Having attended some of my local teams matches and seeing some of the decisions you can realise that there is no conspiracy. Just shocking standards
