You obviously support the wrong football team.

Did you forget about the time he was kicked unconscious? or the time he was practically dragged from his car when his family was with him? Or how about the time he was verbally abused while with his kid?

Or maybe when he has been abused up and down the country at every football ground, villified in the press, demonised, and despised by every * hun in this shithole.

If you cant stand behind the man after all that then I suggest you * off and find another team to support.

Care to expand on that? I know nothing about Neil Lennon's level of popularity in England so that's news to me but otherwise fail to see many faults with that post.

i am not neils biggest fan , i am 100% per cent behind him as regards to the abuse and hatred he gets from all bar our own just because of his religion and birth place , the man does not deserve any of that , my crib with him is only about football and some of his decisions at times but that is only my opinion and that does,nt mean i,m right and as far as kenny clark and the rest of the laptop loyal are concerned no he is not an embarresment only once he made me cringe was when he kicked the water bottle at inverness so its hardly the biggest crime , the man fights his corner all the time and deserves respect for that

Seriously. Stuff in bold I have no problem with. The rest of the stuff I just don't know about. I am assuming that since people see him in places like Ashton Lane that he isn't under 24 hour security but I could be wrong. People, fans of other clubs or even Celtic fans, are entitled to think he's a * surely without being labelled bigots? * knows we had some amount who weren't afraid to describe Gordon Strachan as such.

    Am I being whooshed here?

Well I'm guessing after some rangers fans tried to kill him them I'm going to say yes!!! ffs!!!

If he genuinely thought he would be attacked? What like Tynecastle or getting bombs through the post? Or being assualted or verbally abused while with his family?

I really feel like laughing because i'm sure I'm being reeled in here but I've never heard so much pish in my life.

I don't buy the "both Celtic and Rangers fans". Celtic fans have not chanted for Ally McCoist's death, posted pictures of him riddled with bullets, sent him so many death threats that he had to cut his international career short, or created a smilie on our forums that show him being guillotined. All of these things have been done to Lennon.

If he genuinely thought he would be attacked...like the time that he was, in fact, attacked in the streets. Or that time he was, in fact, attacked on the pitch. If he genuinely thought he would be in danger...like that time someone tried to send him a bomb?

    Those things happened.

Well, I think there is an enormous level of difference between "I hate that player and I will boo him at every opportunity" and "I hate that player and I actually want to see him physically harmed." He may not have been popular in England; he didn't get barraged with death threats by the English.

The only thing I find to be an embarrassment is the fact this poll was created and our fans are actually debating on this topic. The only thing lenny is guilty of is being as passionate about Celtic a the rest of us. When we was getting screwed by the ref at ibrox me and my da was screaming at the tele! Lenny has every right to show discontent at a poor referee as much as any other Celtic fan. He also has witnesses to say he wasn't being aggressive.

Just think sometimes who ever is in charge, certain sections of our fan base have to find a problem somewhere. I.e. Strachan played boring football and was too cocky. O'Neil played the long ball tactic and had millions to spend etc.

We got a good passionate Celtic man at the helm. He had brought in some cracking players who are capable of winning and winning with a level of style. Stop with all this embarrassment nonsense and get behind him. Only one Neil !

    It was tongue in cheek.

Are we allowed to have a sense of humour?

Not much point in expanding. My opinion is that it is utter nonsense, not to mention completely disrespectful.

My experience of online forums leads me to not waste my time in trying to state any case to the contrary of the OP as you have made your opinion clear, so what's the point? You have your opinion, i have mine. Neither of us will change the others mind.

Neil doesn't help himself at times and there's no denying that, but i can completly understand why he can get so frustrated, absolutley everything he does is pounced upon by the media and we are told how he is a disgrace to celtic football club, were he is in my opinion the complete opposite, after 2 orcs tried to murder him he held his head high and got on with his job, never used it as an excuse for the team not performing,no matter what he's the celtic manager and the support should all be behind him.

    Never an embarrassment!

He speaks his mind and stops just short of calling it EXACTLY as it is (which I suppose he kinda has to do)

Would love it if he just came out and said the hfa are all a bunch of cheating, orc scum!

As for anyone outwith the club saying anything negative about Lenny, other members of the management team, players, board, staff, etc... their opinion means nothing and they can GTF!!!

    Only One Neil Lennon!!!

And we do stand behind our leader!!!

    Hail Hail

So why did you vote that he's an embarrassment then? Yet to see any good reasoning for how he is that.

Both yes and no. Mostly no, but when he comes out and moan and complain on the refs everytime we drop points is embarrasing.

I think people who find Neil Lennon 'embarassing' amongst our support are very * embarrasing themselves.

I don't understand this thread for a second. We've been screaming for years for our management and board to take the fight to the SFA with regards to what are, in our opinion, shocking decisions. Yet the second we get an outspoken manager who wants to debate these and question frankly suspect decisions some want to label him an embarassment. Have a word with yourselves.

Yes, occassionally he'll get it wrong and dispute a decision that was probably the right call, but that's passion. End of.

    Spot on.

If anyone is embarrassed then they must be done so easily.

Lennon is what we've been needing regarding the media. These guys have hounded him for 12 years and when he hits back he gets made out to be some petulant child that needs a telling.

I find this question an embarrassment tbh.

I certainly feel the thread is disrespectful and some comments downright hurtful.

To say our manager acts like a "*" is completely uncalled for IMO.

Opinions are always going to be split on certain things and i can fully accept some people would like Neil to behave a particular way in certain situation but the man is who he is. He's not perfect, he's not infallible. Name a manager who is? He's human like the rest of us. He makes mistakes sometimes as we all do and as all managers do.

Never have i ever considered him an embarrassment. His passion, desire and love for CFC is clear for all to see and is illustrated in everything he does and says. His talents as a manager is also clear for all to see as is his eye for a player.

If Lennon at the helm makes you blush, then you must be very easily embarrassed indeed.

I also find the insinuation that Neil Lennon get's the abuse he does simply because of the way he acts rather than other factors, pretty laughable to say the least. It's bordering on the old "he brings it on himself" line.

Still, when he holds that league trophy aloft, i wonder how many of us will be blushing.........
