Do our players ever REALLY hate the huns??

Not ever knowing any of them but some of the things ive seen and heard from these people is sick. People on here have a wrong definition of bigotry and sectarianism, that is when you hate someone for race,religion etc not because they support rangers and i for one have never ever seen anyone on this site and word of mouth say "* basterd" or anything along those lines because it simply dosent happen.

Go to a rangers site for example or a match its all "catholic *" and "tattie muncher" and when sensible huns say its out of order hes told to * off.

They hate me and i hate them! i know full well if i met one who was grand i would have a drink and crak with him but as it stands i hate the *.

 

dont know if they hate them but no one likes cheats or thugs

 

arsenal fans hate spurs and vice versa, no religion
fener hate galatasaray, no religion
boca hate river plate, no religion

celtic hate rangers, its normal. add to that the fact we are a club predominantly supported by a persecuted religious minority, whose persecuters are represented by our fiercest rivals it is quite hard no to hate them

 

right mate, hold one a minute, im a protestant, my family is protestant mixed with some catholics, my family are mostly all rangers fan, my grandfather, my dad, brother, uncles, cousins, though Im not. Watch what your saying because my family does not want to dance through * blood and im sure, infact i know a big percentage of rangers fans respect us and dont hate us. this thread wasnt started for us to ask ourselves if we hate them, its for to see if the celtic players hate them, and they dont. Neither Do I.

I don't think any professional player hates an other based on who they play for. They might not socialise with them but in football it's impossible to go around holding grudges as you don't know when you'll end up in the same team as them. Most of our home based players will be pals with the huns from international duty, in the same way that we have friends who are huns (if you don't, it says far more about you than it does about the huns) Look at the Middlesbrough team for instance. Robson, McDonald, Flood and McManus will now be friendly with Boyd and Thompson.

 

Show me where I said your family want to wade through * blood. Go on.

 

Its such a stupid argument, I hate rangers as a football team. Some of my best mates are huns and I love them. We all hate each others teams and detest elements of each others support, but at the end of the day, the fact that we support diffrent teams doesnt mean we should hate each other. Its fair enough that we hate our rivals as a team, but theres really no need for anything over and above that

 

i've had huns talk to me about the evil of catholics, knowing i'm a Protestant Tim, because they think they're in like minded company. my wife is catholic and my kids will be catholic so i kindly ask them to walk away before i break their jaw.

i've also had interaction with rangers supporters who geniunely seem to be good people and find all the bigotry to be old fashioned and inappropriate.

i'm sure the players have similar experiences with one another

If a Celtic player has ever 'hated' a Rangers player it more than likely down to the fact he hates the guy as a person or player period not down to the fact he plays for the huns. We all say we hate huns.....but in fact many of us have hun friends....what we mean is we hate a certain type of hun....the bigoted, sectarian anti-catholic type hun of the knuckle dragging variety. I'm sure even when big Artur says he hates huns these are the type he is refering to.

 

Your talking about people like my family, putting them all in the same sentence as the actual scum. Alot of decent rangers fans out there, theres alot of decent celtic fans out there. BUT we both have our own scum, and Im disappointed in fans that are still living in the 70s.

 

they have to do alot of cross community stuff together anyway so alot of the players will know each other well but like any situation, not everyone will get on. i.e thompson and ricksen

 

Got it in one,add to the the blatant preferential treatment they receive from the SFA and co and it's enough to make some players hate them

 

Aww well, tough. There's a lot of decent Rangers fans out there but there's a whole lot more vile hun * in their support. There is no comparison between our support and theirs.

Neil lennon will shake walters hand at the start of the first old firm game, as would anyone else, but to ask if our players " REALLY " hate the huns? In lennons case, of course he does, nothing would feel better than lifting that league cup at the end of the season, is it because he loves celtic? Of course, is it because he hates rangers, of course.

Thats the manager, but the players, some of the new boys claim to know the story and will play for the shirt whenever they go on the pitch, but as we have seen in the past, celtic players will grow a hatred for the rangers fans, they take far too much stick week in week out not to hate the dirties.:icon_mrgreen:

They are most likely pals. They used to laugh and joke with each other in the tunnel when i was a ball boy back in the day. Plus i heard they have a after match dinner together? Could anyone confirm that? Can't even remember where i heard that from!
