Do our players ever REALLY hate the huns??

My twin brother is a hun i only hate him during the game after it have a laugh :icon_mrgreen:

 

i remember in a thread once that was the same sort of topic as this, i said that i don't hate rangers .. and people were amazed .. wanting to know why i didnt. Surprisingly the first few replies to the OP were along the lines of 'i hate rangers and what they stand for' , not pointing fingers but a lot of people on here are sheep

 

Most of my mates are Huns.

Rip the pish out of each other all the time about football, but tend to stick to talking about non OF stuff if we are in the pub etc. You cant have a proper conversation with a rangers fan about rangers and celtic as it ALWAYS ends in disagreements.

To all the people saying they do hate them, they are scum, total * etc.

Your are every bit as scummy as the Rangers fans who say the same about us.

Anyone who hates people for supporting a different football team or from a different religion is as big a scum bag as any Rangers fan bigot.

some of my closest pals are rangers fans and the babter is always good ( they are always wrong) but it wouldnae take much to hate the likes of lafferty and novo. again as some people have said thopmo may hate rixcksen and lovenkrands but for the most part there will be a mutual respect between pro's

What a load of utter nonsense. The "two sides of the same coin" statement is like something you would read in the scummy red tops.

I would say our hatred towards them is brought on by the fact that a majority of their support would not tire of dancing through our "* blood", it has absolutely nothing to do with religion. There are some decent Rangers men out there but a lot of their support is made up of horrible vermin who despise all things Catholic/Celtic/Irish, it's all the same to them.

As for the thread title, Artur is a man who hated der hun. He makes no apologies for it and neither do I.

That's absolute nonsense. Nobody hates them because they support rival club or are of different religion, they are disliked strongly because of their bigoted views, anti-catholic signing policy, tendency to express their "anti-*" views at any place and time given, acting like the lowest scumbags of not only Scotland, but whole world. Their fans also don't leave pleasant memories on their away trips, citizens of Manchester, Urziceni, Barcelona etc. can witness to this. Yet they are the people.

There are numerous other examples of hunnery.

Hatred towards them exists, we can't just shut every thread that consists expression of hatred aimed at Rangers. It's day in, day out thing in Scotland and it's part of every day life of some people, especially the dark side's fans obsesion about us.

Trust me, proud of this site won't be tarnished with several posts or threads about them as it's all in borders of acceptable.

I advise you not to go to Hun sites, you'll be asking for the whole forum to be closed, not only threads.

yes the huns have a terrible element to their fans but so do we ! dont kid ourselves on that we dont have bigots amongst our fans. yes tommy burns would turn in his grave at some of the posts on here. remember mcoist and smith carrying his coffin?? strange that this whole thread seems to be allowed to happen and more so that mods have been posting on it

I know well that our support isn't perfect, but it's minority. Unlike them, where majority prevails.

 

there's nothing bigoted or sectarian about hating your fiercest rival. bigotry and sectarianism are when you attack verbally or otherwise someone based on their religion, color of their skin, etc. i don't see any anti-protestant language on this site at all. before we start pontificating about acceptable and unacceptable and start judging each other, let's take inventory of what is really going on here. just because we don't love rangers doesn't make us bigots or sectarian. where do you see bigotry on here?

 

your kidding yourself on ! ours is just as bad. if this was a rangers forum they be saying the same nonsence. yes its a rivalry but most of our fans chant and sing about things which have nothing to do with them apart from the fact they support celtic. they think because they support celtic then they must love the ira etc etc. this whole thread is nonsence for a non bigoted and non sectarian debate. do our players really hate the huns?? says it all really

 

i'm waiting for some sort of example from you, of bigotry on this thread or this board...

at least four times a year for at least 90 minutes, our players better hate the huns. other than that, i really couldn't give a toss

 

I dont think ours is as bad. Obviously I am biased but Look at Barcelona, Manchester, Seville, London and Villareal to name a name a few examples. Both us and our old pals from across the city have each visited each of these cities in the past 10 years. The contrast couldnt be greater. People in these places love us for our friendliness, fierce loyalty to our club and general good nature and we are welcomed back with open arms to places like these. Whereas look how they feel about Rangers? Scum who caused a great deal of damage, pain and insult to their hosts and who are not welcome to return. Barcelona's Mayor wants them banned ffs! You cannot seriously think our support is as bad? As OC said, with us its the minority. With them it is mst definitely the overwhelming majority.

 

Well I have a low tolerance for sectarianism, and I honestly can't see that much sectarianism in this thread.

It is not sectarian per se to dislike the actions and beliefs of members of another social group. Any more than it is racist for a black person to dislike the BNP. It only becomes sectarian when you start disliking individuals solely for being members of the group: that is not much in evidence here.

As for bigotry, that's simply intolerance for the opinions of others; and if that bothers you, I'd say mibbe internet forums are not the best place to frequent.

Tommy Burns was a special man. To bring his relationship with Ally McCoist and Walter Smith into this discussion is ridiculous. In my opinion when someone cheats on the pitch whether it be amatuer football or when I watch professionals play, the way they act says alot about their personality off of it (forgive me if there are a few exceptions) The way Ricksen, Lafferty, Bougherra and McGregor to name the most recent act frequently is an absolute joke. They show no respect when playing other teams, and I bet everyone in this forum could give me many examples of each player being an idiot on the park. It tends to happen off the park too? Or is that just my opinion? Boruc was outstanding, but at the end of the day he was nuts! Monkey tattoos just one mental thing he did. Messrs Riordan, Mulgrew, Brown and Mcgeady also know there way into trouble on and off the park. I can accept people`s opinions of `hatred` or `dislike` towards any of the players entioned before because they are founded in some way. But to say you `hate` someone for being a Ranger`s player in nonsense. I loved Arthur Numan and Brian Laudrup, even though they were the bane of my existence for the first 9 or so years of my life. Players like Gio van Bronckhorst, Henke, Sutton, Weir and Mjallby are all the epitome of the role model footballer. How can you hate thse players either side of the Old firm?
