Like the guy has said, he's looking for other opinions on it and personally I don't see a problem with. Glad to see fellow Celts condemning their behaviour.

That's shocking. Too many arseholes get the train after the game. Yesterday (and most weekends) a bunch of bams trying to squeeze onto the train and shouting "move up the * carriage". A guy had his wee daughter with him and she was nearly getting crushed cause some * can't wait 3 mins for the next train.

Got to agree with SD here.

Hate it when folk take the moral high ground over stuff like this. Comments going on about how our name has been tarnished, how the guy isn't a real Celtic fan etc etc do my head in.

You's should all come together and merge into one big supporter's club - Holier than thou CSC.

Excuse me if I'm wrong but it really does come across as if your excusing them.

People taking the moral high ground? It's not exactly hard to be higher than the lowlifes who sing about the ibrox disaster.

    Not excusing them.

Just not sticking the boot in at every single opportunity I can over trivial matters.

Fans singing and banging the windows on a train being the prime example.

Just sounds like two sets of knuckle dragging numpties beating each others heads. No difference to any other weekend in their lives most likely. Any right minded person should condemn such people. Whether they support celtic or rangers should really be neither here nor there. I find it a weird concept to defend a scumbag just because they happen to support the same team as you do. Equally I find it weird to apologise on their behalf if they misbehave.

haha, you really see yourself as a cut above most people don't you?

I've turned out alright for myself, but I would never forget where I came from.

You are a completely different animal.

If we had to start a thread for every fight in Glasgow on a Saturday that involves alcohol I think the forum would go into meltdown tbh.

Of course not most people. But these people, absolutely.

I know where I came from. I didnt come from people who beat each other to pulp over a game of football.

Just because you condemn the actions of such people really doesnt have anything to do with forgetting where you come from. It is just decency - regardless of anyones background. I dont get why you have to defend such people just because they happen to support the same team as you, or insult people for forgetting their roots just because they are appauled at such behavior in this day and age?

Exactly. Same goes for people trying to distort the story by claiming fights happen in Glasgow every day. The thread isn't about any other fight. It's a fight which was the result of Celtic fans singing about the ibrox disaster.

It's been brought up because it's completely out of order

Also the same guy who just can't trust the OP's word and would like to question his honesty, rather than actually condemning what happened.

Or say "its glasgow for * sake" ... Aye, that makes it alright then.

Nobody says it makes it all right, just makes it a non-event really. Happens constantly.

I think this is fair. Just not fair to suggest people do not know where they came from because they condemn such violence (not you of course devlin).

The logic that just because it happens all the time means we should not report one occasion is ludicrous.

Murder happens all the time in glasgow but i guess its "just glasgow" so papers shouldn't report assaults/deaths and police should never bother to investigate.

Really shows your attitude towards violence if you just brush it aside as a common occurrence that happens in glasgow.

Murders a bit different from somebody taking a few digs on a train.

Im using the extreme to prove a point, as you said earlier today as little as one punch can potentially although unlikely cause severe damage to a person. I find it difficult myself to brush off incidents like these as common occurrences that just happen everyday.

It was a stupid confrontation by both sets of people involved.

Does every beating, stabbing, assault, GBH etc... get posted on here?

I think not. So why post * just because it happened on the day of the match?

They are common occurances though, I literally would not be able to recount every single time I've seen somebody take a few punches or a beating. Sauchiehall St on a Friday night may as well sell box office tickets and have people sit back and watch people beat * out've each other.
