I thought Didier Agathe was a superb right back. One of the best slide tacklers I've seen.

Was always better running at people from deep were he was already flying.

Was less effective on the wing but I liked him most as Wingback though. Position seemed to be built for him.

 

I seen him as a winger. He did defend though because that's what his position meant he had to do. Funny how Agathe was a RWB on the right side of our team those days, yet Thommo was just a pure LM.

 

Thommo was pure work rate though and got stuck in. Loved that formation.

Had Lennon and Lambert covering for when we had them forward.

This Dino looks more of a defender though. Happy with that.

 

Aye we need a defensive defence lol.

 

Croatian defender Dino Skvorc will be given an extra week to convince Lennon he is worth a contract – and the price his club, NK Varazdin, hope to get for the 20-year-old.

When he was asked about Varazdin boss Samir Toplak’s claim that Skvorc would cost around £1million, Lennon said: "I was not aware of that, so we may have to rethink that one.

"I don’t know. We will have a look and see what sort of potential he has."

Hmmm, not sure - he does look very good defensively (on Youtube lol).

I'm sure Lenny must want a big defensive RB, who can offer cover at CB, who's young & highly rated.

Oh wait a minute - we've got a big solid highly rated young CB who can offer cover at LB & never gets a sniff & apparantly wants to leave the club.

Is the pictures of him at training from yesterday/today? A CB who has pace and can play at RB is just what we need i think. Kills 2 birds with the one stone! If he has pace and can defend like a CB, at 20 he would be an excellent signing! After the signing of Izzy I am very hopeful that we can bring in an equally solid RB, hopefully this is the guy!

 

Is this dead rumour? We could use player like that, now and in the future.
Wilson and Rogne have injuries once in a while, he could be ideal backup for them.
Lennon has already seen him, maybe he will move a bit of cash for him.

 

i know that this thread is a bit old, but i watched dino škvorc tonight in dinamo zagreb vs varazdin match.. croatian cup final.. he scored a goal, but besides that he was terrible... dinamo won 5-1...

 

Sounds like we got lucky then.

 

i guess.. 1 mil is too much for him.. although players from his club didn't get salaries in last 8 months.. so it's hard to be motivated..

 

quite a good vid. playing at centre half in this and looks reasonably assured. He seems to read the game well and has decent distribution. Let Lenny see him in training against a better class of player. If Lenny likes the looks, I'd be happy with his assessment.

 

This is an old thread. He was on trial months ago and it was decided that he wasn't worth the 1million asking price.
