It is nerve wracking, and we shouldn't joke but it would have been funny if the fud that ran on had been wearing an itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini.

Ah one thing though, i think we're all overlooking is that Celtic have previous with UEFA with regards to fan trouble.

No * we do - March 12 2003 E-Hadji Diuof when he fell into the fans and was patted on the head. And Diuof spat. see the similarity?

    exactly.

So this will get interesting over the coming days. I agree to what your all saying abut UEFA coming down hard on milan for simulation and bringing the game into disrepute but thats two strikes for us as well.

think about it. Sorry forgot to add my point - wouldn't surprise me if UEFA wriggled off the hook this time and flame up us for being the worst offender.

Am I missing something here ?
Why would we want to fight to have Dida banned or Milan fined? What would we as a Club possibly hope to gain by that ?
Its not about Celtic seeking justice against Dida, thats UEFAs job.
Although connected, the * running on the pitch and Dida diving are to be judged by UEFA as two potential disciplinary offences.

yeah, your missing the whole point.

dida tried to screw us out of a fair win by cheating. its only right celtic demand for there to be an investigation.

did the SFA do wrong in asking for an investigation into that lithuanian diving?

Dida is (was) their golden goalie at uefa hq last season. He won their goalie of the champs league 2006/2007 award and was up picking out the baws of the pot for them..even so, he will be punished imo.

I dont think its me thats missing the point here.
Celtic will NOT demand there will be an investigation......We dont have to!!! UEFA are already doing it !!
You are talking about Ifs here !
IF they did not schedule a disciplinary hearing about Didas actions, or IF we had the points taken off us, or IF we had to play behind closed doors, then we would have a right to appeal if the Dida incident was a factor in those IF decision(s)
But I'm willing to bet that Celtic will not demand action is taken against Dida or AC Milan, like I said UEFA seems to be treating them as Two seperate disciplinary offences. We will get hammered for the guy on the park, and Dida will get minor action of some kind, as UEFA have to be seen to take action.

Do you honestly think out Club will demand action be taken ? Or is it you just think they should ?

I think that Uefa will now come down harder on us to mitigate the fact that they'll give Dida a ban for a few games. To avoid any hassle from the big italian clubs, they might now dock points/closed doors etc.

It's good that they're taking action against Dida, but Uefa are political fannies who will take a cowards way out.

If that is the case it's the equivilant of Celtic being fined over a million quid. They'll have to refund the fans that have bought tickets. What a feckin nightmare!:47:

Hey - remember we got shafted against Rapid Vienna about 20 years back - I'm expecting the same again from those fannies - maybe not a replay, I hope that the result will stand as Milan have said that it didn't affect the outcome, but the closed doors matches, I'm dreading that outcome

That article doesnt say that the SFA as an organisation have called for Dida to be banned !
It basically is a few comments from Gordon Smith to some journo about what he thinks should be done, the comments werent made on behalf of the SFA.

Scottish Football Association chief executive Gordon Smith has called for Milan goalkeeper Dida to be banned for diving.
