Inherited through my old man! Grew up in Castlemilk which was predominantly Catholic/Celtic fans at the time! Happy days! Once I started my Electrical Apprenticeship for a firm which notoriously didn't hire Catholics! I was introduced to a world of bigotry, etc! Unfortunately that experience has made me into the bitter * I am today! :icon_mrgreen:

Inherited it, but chose to become more an active supporter of the club unlike the rest of my family, most of them classed themselves as fans but never really followed the team to any great extent

chose when i was a youngster

my whole family grandfather, dad, uncles and cousins were rangers supporters and tried to get me to be a rangers supporter because i'm a * and * supports rangers pish

truth is i always like the hoops strip and we were always and ultra attacking side andd therefore exciting to watch

made my mind up officially when we won the scottish cup in 1980 and they morons couldnae take defeat and rioted but was still a bit young

went to my first game when i was around 13 or 14 aberdeen or dundee utd i think at celtic park i was * myself lol around 83 or 84 i'm sure strachan was still at aberdeen

had to go myself cause none of my family supported them

Bit of both. My Dad is a Celtic fan, but he isnt die hard, so I was never overly influenced to support Celtic. But In the end I had to choose the bhoys in green :icon_mrgreen:

Brought to my my first game in 1978 as a 4 year old. Travelling from Belfast before supporters buses. Boat, train switch at Ayr into Glasgow. Was lucky enough to be brought to the ground to the green metal doors at the front of stadium. My da used to rap the door and the the wee old guy used to take us into the front and the players used to arrive in. Charlie Nicholas, Paul Mc Stay, Alan Sneddon, George Mc Cluskey, Davie Moyes, Roy Aitken, Danny Mc Grain etc. Hence my avatar pic. I was the first Celtic mascot from Ireland in 1983 Celtic 4-1 Hibs. I have now transferred my beliefs onto my own family. My wife who was never interested in football is now a fully fledged Celtic fan and my 2 kids know nothing but Celtic.

My mum's a celtic fan but my dad's a rangers fan - everyone thought I'd be a hun because I was always a bit of a daddy's girl. Fortunately I made the right choice. :icon_mrgreen: There's a wee home video of me in my tap dance dress dancing to four leafed clover.

I actually chose to inherit Celtic.

When i shot out of my Mum, my Dad tried to get me interested in tiddlywinks.

Being a minute old I told him in no uncertain terms to remove the tiddlywinks scarf and wrap me in * tricolour.

Bit off topic. But please remember Kidso Reilly. Shot dead by the British army whilst walking home from the dry cleaners with his suit under his arm.He was the the tour manager for Bananarama. He travelled to the games in the the early 80's with me and my da.

Dunno, my mother and sisters were never that into football and my Grandad was a Morton fan but somehow Celtic were always talked about favourably in my family (I come from a catholic background). My favourite player on earth as a kid was Paul McStay- but more for his international exploits (I seem to remember having a massive poster of him in that horrible Scotland strip with the blue hoop on the shorts). Celtic were one of several teams I liked as a kid including Morton (someone- presumably my Grandad- did take me to Cappielow once) and Liverpool. My stepdad took me to my first game (against Cologne) in 92 (I was 15) and since then I've only one team (I've retained a certain fondness for Liverpool, but when we've played them I wanted Celtic to pump them as much as when we play anybody else!). Guess that makes me one of those annoying sods who answers the OP's question by saying: "bit of both".

I choose it obviously. Celtic is just so much more then a football team imo.. Its a lifestyle.

I coach an under 12 boys team in Canada, its great because we tell the kids all about the Celtic tradition the they start turning up with Celtic tops and Celtic balls. My way of spreading the gospel!!!
