Maybe some would - and maybe they'd be half-right. But the question was who was the most successful, and that's pretty clear cut, cos luck don't come into it.

Maybe you can be lucky once but to do it twice is no luck.

If Oneill got a result from another game to go through people would be calling him a genius.

    Voted for the status quo!

We're one of the richest clubs in Europe, just not in one of the richest leagues! Things will come good!

I don't really think it was luck, the reason we got through the first time under WGS was because we beat Man Utd and drew with Benfica on AGG. When MON got 9 points in the group stage we lost out to everyone on Agg so even if Porto had finished level with us on 9 points we'd still have been out.

Gordon Strachan got us a trophy every year of his reign.
    O'neil did not.
O'neil achieved what ever he did over a 5 year period, Strachen did it in 4 years.

    Thank You:shamrock:

Yes, and given how abject we were last season would you say with any certainty that we would have won more than one trophy under Gordon Strachan this season?

Your quick enough to bring Gordon down mate, but also quick enough to back Mowbray, if strachan was still manager and had won 2 games out of last 10 this season would you be backing him like you do tony?

Know you like the guy, i like tony as a person also, but thats not good enough. if things keep on going the way they are he has to go simple.

I fully admit that the present run of results is poor and not what we're looking for. Even Mowbray himself knows that.

All I am saying in backing him is that he needs and deserves to be given more time to get it right. To sack him after 4 months would be madness and would show just how spoilt and impatient a section of our support has become over the last few years.

If we went on to lose the league by 15 points and the football was guff all season long then, and only then, perhaps it would be time to think about wielding the axe.

Would the guy who suggested DD put £86m into the club like to explain that figure?
