How is getting beat 1-0 away from home. against a team top of the spanish league embarassing, a team that have conceded 2 goals all season.

We got beat yeah but not embarassing.

I was really pleased by the performance tonight.Strachan got his shape and team selection spot on apart from maybe Hartley in instead of Crosas. We kept the ball a lot better and defended well as a team.I thought Boruc and Caldwell were immense at the back and Brown was superb in midfield.Maloney and McGeady worked hard and looked dangerous on the ball. We'll pick up points away from home if we keep playing like that.

No disgrace in being beaten by Villareal?..no arguement their,
but you got to look at the performance, not good ,anybody who thought the 1st have was good was watching a different game to me,effort 10 out of 10,but the possesion ,deary me f8ckin shockin` and how many * poor crosses into the box? ..I lost count,

first 20min. of the 2nd half you could smell the goal coming ,freekick or not doesn`t matter ,the fullbacks were getting skinned alive, not through lack of effort but quality, and for that you got to look at the board and the signing policy everybody knows their limitations,

and what the f8cks wrong with sticking a man on the post at a freekick!!

Was I watching the same game as you?
What is it you're proud of, the fact we managed to hold out for 70mins.. ffs, we didn't even have the decency to give it a real go in the last ten minutes, we were poor tonight. I hate to bring this * up, but at least under O'Neil we went for it away from home. If anyone here thinks we gave a good account of ourselves tonight then they are seriously disillusioned IMO.

Your embarrassed by a team that went to Old trafford with leaving key players on the bench and got a point ? Lolz

Zenit looked much better than Real Madrid today too...

Villarreal is a quality side. Wonder if you'll change your mind if they won the group... or would that just be "luck" too? Just like finishing above Barca in La Liga?

Sorry mate but MON never got as many chances to score as we did tonight (against the same side but poorer) and if you can't see the effort the players put in against this classy side I don't know why! It wasn't Motherwell we were playing tonight lol.

Il agree Naka wsa poor very poor, but Aiden was actually are only threat going forward.
Lads theres nothing else to say but were not good enough, end of....
Boruc, Caldwell, McManus, Aiden and Brown only players that could be proud of their display.
Wilson, Naylor, Hartley, Naka and Samaros not good enough for this level

Like i said mate, i think they're a very good side.

but i judge teams on the players they have, and i don't think they have enough quality players to merit being called a quality side.

for the first 15 mins yes. the second half we were all over the place..there was no "teamwork" it was just basically 10 men individually trying to stop the ball going in the net.
