Are you serious ? Scouse * has spent a fair wad over the past 3 seasons, he's signed about 90 players fs.

Been saying it for years,no point replacing PL and then thinking things will suddenly change when DD is still sat counting his cash and controlling how the club spends its money.

    7This is the thing.

IfCEltic's supposed to be an "elite" club, surely spending £3m on it's CEO per year isn't actually that bad.

Especially when you thin of spenging $3,5.m on klimala as opposed to £3m on a guy who's running the entire club?

I was answering @Beckenbauer mate, he was replying to a post about the huns team costing * all. That’s apparently how much Gerrard has spent every year.

On transfers we have spent roughly the same but their advantage is those players have had time to gel. Ours have won everything and now want to leave. We will need to spend a lot to build a whole new team that can challenge mTo be honest I don't think we will win anything next year again.

I think a lot of this comes down to the mcginn saga. That, to me, seems pivotal in all the events that have unfolded before our eyes. There was natural progression under BR but ultimately he was undermined. Yes, he done the dirty on us and that’s unforgivable but I just think we were on the cusp of greatness and had we spent that extra for mcginn the whole prospect of things would’ve changed

Anybody who defends this guy has their head well and truly up their *. We have an ‘owner’ not a board and it is our owner that has oversaw this downsizing of our club. Brendan Rodgers knew.

He better invest big in the team come summer, then * off at the end of next season, even if we win the league.

We’ve been spending enough, the problem is who we’ve spending it on, £10m straight away on barkas and ajeti who’ve contributed * all, then massive wages on the likes of Duffy. We don’t need to spend big, we need to spend clever.

I’m in a weird place where I am hopeful this is another Rodgers-esque moment where due to this * up of a season, we go out and secure the best candidate (Howe), put the structure we need in place and recruit wisely. But at the same time I’ve got the fear that he’s going to announce Roy Keane and give the usual “* the fans”, and sign a pile of pish no marks or expensive loans. Big week coming up

Might seem pedantic but the CEO is for the PLC whose primary purpose is to provide dividends & increase the price of shares for shareholders. It should be a separate individual that actually runs the club. A DoF given an annual budget to spend how they see fit.

The CEO of the PLC should be focused primarily on the commercial side of things: sponsorship, marketing, infrastructure etc.

£3m would be an insane wage for the CEO of an organisation whose revenue is around £70-80m per annum. That would place them within the average for a FTSE 100 CEO.

For comparison, the Vodafone UK CEO makes around £3m for presiding over revenues of over £6 billion. Rolls-Royce CEO around £3m for revenues of £15 billion.
