Sell him! Who does he think he is? Celtic put him back in line and gave him a chance to go to the world cup. He played against two diddy teams and reserve england squad and now he thinks he is top notch material...

I am surprised by his agents antics. He is usually pretty serious and doesnt go through media outlets. Has a good reputation in Belgium for fair work.

The boards * up by not backing Brendan. If we had players in or if we trusted them to reinvest then the bid would be accepted.

As it is, he’s worth more to us for a year on the footballing side than money in the bank.

And that’s pathetic because he isn’t a great defender.

Get rid of this * *! Thinking he's above us now all of a sudden the chap is a bombscare. When he's on form he can be a good defender but that's usually for maybe 2-3 games then it's back to gifting the opposition the ball. Cheeky * punt him so he can be found out elsewhere

Unless he refuses to play, both share the blame in this...really really should have sold.

He can’t do that forever. I disagree, we have been putting acruing money over our team for a long time. Would you rather have a weaker team with money in the bank? Or a stronger team without it there (when we’ve got 30 odd million sitting there)

It’s obviously his agent talking trying to push a move through, realising he’s at his optimum value at present..

Don’t think it’s in Boyata’s make up to sit idle until Jan, much as a I don’t rate him his attitude has been excellent..

Whilst sviatchenko stepped up and got a goal * happened..... Any day of the week Erik was better.... Boyata got back in the team because Rodgers wanted to show self improvement or at least working towards that gets you rewards well that has totally back fired and now we have lost Erik

There is no way he should be sold if there is no replacement incoming. Boyata isn't that great, so £9m+ shouldn't be sniffed at, but how far does that go in this market? As Dev points out, at this stage I'd rather have the player than the cash.

The rumours of broken promises and refusing to play aren't helpful. Boyata has done well for Celtic, but not as well as Celtic has done for Boyata - he'd do well to remember that. He's earned good money, won plenty of medals, played Champions League football and gone to a World Cup.
There is still time for him to move to a Sevilla, or a Lazio, so in the meantime he should show some respect, lace up his boots and get back out on the pitch for Celtic.

It's Boyata we're talking here? £9m, ffs, he's basically a quick traffic cone.

And yet he’s probably our best defender. £9m doesn’t matter a * if we aren’t going to invest it.

He’s got to get sold, and then CB brought in of quality and experience.

There's no way he should be played unless he publicly states his agent is lying and it's nonsense.

No player is bigger than the club, most certainly not Dedryck * Boyata.

We're the richest club in Scotland, if we're saying we can't find a CB that is better than Boyata, Jozo and Hendry within the £2-5 million then the scouting system isn't fit for purpose.

£9m would allow for a more than adequete replacement to be bought, with change. the market is inflated down south, but ther is still value to be had in other leagues. We dont have to buy from England.

I agree with the second part. I think an agent is an extension of the player and his agent hasnt covered himself in any glory by going public. Had he wanted a move, Boyata should have approached BR and asked for thr transfer.
