BR on Dedryck Boyata's return: "We could have maybe played him against Ross County but we felt this was going to be the better game."

BR: "And it was nice to see him back. He’s a big presence in the team and very dominant, and I thought he came through it really well.”

He handles these fixtures well. Jozo and Boyata is a class partnership and it's been proved time and time again.

He's guilty of fannying about though, he has mistakes in him as we've also seen many times.

Never put a foot wrong yesterday though, hope it continues into Wednesday.

He was making me nervous early on yesterday. Seemed very hesitant and slow on the ball.

Great second half though. Won everything in the air.

I think that was partly due to the length of time he has been out.

    Yeah no doubt.

It's good to have him back anyway.

Considering it was his first full 90 in a while he done very well.

Still gives me the fear on the ball at times but when he keeps it simple he is a very effective CB.

Big test for the Boyata-Simunovic partnership v Anderlecht. That is out level of competition and we'll see if not bringing in another CB in the summer was a mistake..

It's arguable whether bringing in CB in our price range would actually alter or affect results v PSG and Bayern but Anderlecht is a level playing field..

    Outstanding yesterday for me..

Just back from injury and bar 1 or 2 fouls on that diving *, he cruised it..

We look far better at the back with him and Jozo and Mika back in his natural position.

    Agreed.
PSG we was always going to get beat, bar a Barcelona style miracle/performance.
    Same will go for Bayern.
To get any sort of result in those four games will be an absolute bonus.

But yes, the Anderletch games are were we need to be judged. We want to be above pot 4 and in their position of pot 3. Same went last year for Gladbach, we needed to be better than them - we werent on the whole. So to see what real improvement we have done, we need to be better than Anderletch this year.

I have belief that Jozo-Dedryck is good enough, but it's a risk having no alternatives fit, or capable.

So much more confident going into this game on Wednesday with that back four. Probably would have even made a difference had we had it against PSG.

Won't ever be the best on the ball but * me can he completely nullify an oppositions threat.

    Seems to relish physical battles.

Last few games against them he's completely bossed their strikers by himself.

Agreed plus a bigger chance of nicking something from set pieces at the other end as well.

Don’t think his strength can be underestimated, he holds folk off like they’re not there.

He doesn’t look as imposing as a Balde but by * he is difficult for anyone to move when he’s holding his ground.
