Okay, but I take it you believe something will? Or do people who believe in this close up when people try to discuss it?

I do have an opinion on the subject,I just haven't given it.

It wasn't me who mentioned Icke or Jones in the first place,I quoted 'Wills post regarding them because I thought it should be mentioned that those two guys haven't actually said the World will be ending in 2012 :50:

Oh yes I am very well aware how creative cannabis can make someone.

How about naming me scientists who have come up with new theories on Marijuana?

I would believe someone of sober mind over a stoner any day of the week.

But apparently you HAVE to disclose on your beliefs/non-beliefs because someone is trying to discuss it with you, or else that means you are "closing up"

    For what purposes?

Who you believe is totally up to you, as it is with me. The difference with me is that I tend to be a bit less snyde towards people who have different beliefs/theories than I :50:

The theory of Evolution is accepted, by almost all scientists and all people (excluding those who reject it on religious grounds) as fact. It is proven beyond all reasonable doubt. It's not a hypothesis.

The 'theory' that the world will end on the 21st or something significant will occur is not.

So if someone believes in *,angels,Noah and the ark, rising from the dead, talking animals or talking trees and miracles that's all 'fair enough',but if you have a theory that involves the end of the world or 2012 prophecies you're crazy, you should be ridiculed?

    Don't look for logic.

Bullshit. A scientific theory is fact until proven otherwise. You can't get any higher in science than a theory.

Well why are we having this * discussion if no one's willing to say whether they believe it or not? If no one does I'd be as well talking to a * wall. I don't know why we're all being so secretive about it.

I DON'T BELIEVE IT WILL HAPPEN.

I've said why. If anyone does believe in it then I'd be interested to hear why. If they have some sort of basis for it then I'd be open to changing my views on the subject.

Science would suggest that there is no "*" - can they 100% prove that?

Bible says that only * knows when the world ends. So that makes all these predictions a waste of time and utter bollox.

The funny thing is nobody will ever know when it ends not even when it ends, all pointless talk.

You were the one who ASKED me about what I believe - to ask is to question....and a question does not have to be asked. I'm not being secretive about anything - if I wished to disclose some of my personal beliefs or what I did not believe then I would do so at my own leisure.

Although, perhaps the lack of discussion as to being pro-believer of the end of the world might possibly come with a suggestive hint?

I've got a few bets. £10 to £20 that the world won't end with a few people. Get paid on Jan 1st 2013.

    Win-win situation.

Logic?! Haha. We wouldn't be having this discussion if people were being logical.

To answer your question: yes. There's a difference between faith and stupidity.

I thought we were discussing the definition of a theory here? Or is it easier for you to deviate from the discussion at hand with comments like the above?

Many would argue that having a religious faith makes people stupid - are they crackpots also?

    Science suggests no such thing.
