Can't believe people are stupid enough to believe this stuff, all those David Icke and Alex Jones types have spread their nonsense throughout the Internet

21st? It's happening tomorrow because Leonardo da Vinci paged and warned me. Honestly I don't know people bother to believe in this stuff, there is not one person on this planet that knows when the world will end and there never will be.

There is actually pretty much overwhelming evidence that the world will end on the 21st. No doubt about it.

We are all going to die a horrible horrible death:54:

While I had my kid at a Santa at the local club,a mother asked me had I all my shopping done for Christmas,"no,sure the world is ending on the 21st" was my reply.

I walked of without telling her I was joking, now half the school must think I am nuts.

if you commit suicide on the 20th, then good, it's purging the weaklings from society.

That could be the test, thus making us a stronger race.

I wish the mayan's could have been more specific with
    the time, is it Am/Pm.
When you order something from argos they tell you it will
    arrive between 8am/5pm.
Hope i don't get woke up at stupid o'clock.

Modern day would have to be Henrik...
I was pretty worried last year - the calendar I had ended on the 31st of December...

Misinterpretation of the Mesoamerican Long Count calendar is the basis for a popular belief that a cataclysm will take place on December 21, 2012. December 21, 2012 is simply the day that the calendar will go to the next b'ak'tun, at Long Count 13.0.0.0.0. The date on which the calendar will go to the next piktun (a complete series of 20 b'ak'tuns), at Long Count 1.0.0.0.0.0, will be on October 13, 4772.
Sandra Noble, executive director of the Mesoamerican research organization Foundation for the Advancement of Mesoamerican Studies, Inc. (FAMSI), notes that "for the ancient Maya, it was a huge celebration to make it to the end of a whole cycle". She considers the portrayal of December 2012 as a doomsday or cosmic-shift event to be "a complete fabrication and a chance for a lot of people to cash in.

So is this when it becomes the 21st in Australia, or here or the USA? Is there a time when it's the same date around the world? Like 9AM UK time?

Either way I'm probably going to sleep through the end, got the day off work.

Worst part is the draw for the last 16 is on the 20th. Won't even get time to really let it sink in.

In case the world does end, could someone pop round to mine and switch off Sky and the TV for me? I don't just mean on stand-by either, I mean proper switched off at the socket. No sense in wasting electricity while I'm in the hereafter.

    Cheers lads.
