Don't think there's any CM ready to make that step up. Hendry has ability but more of a creative type. Thompson is more of a holding player but not ready for a leap of that magnitude. Most of our talent seems to be down the flanks, Ralston, Miller, Nesbitt. Think he'll look to use Henderson & Ajer more, no choice but to really.

Flamini would tick every box for me. Bags of experience at the top level and a rodgers type of player.

 

You're forgetting Ajer and O'Connell there, not to mention Ciftci, who might do a turn yet domestically.

 

There are a few names on that list I'd love to see here.

Flamini and Raul Meireles are the two stand outs. Both in their 30s, but we'd be getting them for nothing anyway and they'd bring a wealth of experience.
