    He was brought in to build from the back? He wasn't doing that. His passes aren't accurate if they are going straight to Aberdeen players....regardless of how much you paper over the cracks his kickings were far from accurate.

    Aye that's right he should have been building from the back when Aberdeen had 3/4 players pushed onto the edge of our box aye so he should have been playing risky passes then? He had two bad passes all match the rest of his kicking was really very good getting close to Dembele and giving him a chance of winning them and he pinged a few nice balls out to Lustig and Tierney, the jury is still out on him but to say that he was decent is papering over the cracks is just ludicrous!

    It was his first game. Give him a chance to get settled and into the rhythm.

    I watched the game and didn't see a problem with his kicking (other than that one pass).

    It's been a good window, but could have been really good..

    We still have zero steel in our midfield and it will cost us in Europe and maybe in the domestic cups too..

    And we are lightweight up front, if Griff is injured we're in trouble..

    Oh well, bit disappointing but it has been a good window on the whole. Can't expect to be able to hold our own in the CL the first season of the Rodgers project. Next year we'll be ready.

    The fact that we qualified is a big achievement in itself. We saw last year, just how fine the margin between qualification and an exit from Europe, really is.
